Environmental Committee Meeting

The Environmental Committee met on October 20 at Am-

Cham.

Eleven members came to hear pres-entations by Peter Mackrill, who talked about the Clayton Master Plan; and Ivan Hoyos, who

talked about the Challenge of recy-cling using Clayton as a study case.

The Environmental Committee is re-sponsible for any

subject related to

the Environment. A main objective is to cooperate with the National Environ-mental Consulting Commission of the National Environ-

mental Authority (Autoridad Nacional del Medio Ambiente - ANAM).

Elections for 6 mem-bers of the 2010-2011 Board of Direc-tors were held from 26 to 30 October. On October 30th the three judges, John-son Spratt (Panama Business Services), Elibardo Mantilla (Expetia Consulting Group) and Marco Royer (CSI Leasing de Centroamerica) met in the AmCham office to count the 226 votes cast in the election. The top six vote-getters were

elected to the Board. They are: Brenda McCullough (The Bank of Nova Sco-tia), Juan Carlos Arias (Corporacion Continental), Sandra Miró (DHL Panama S.A.), Marcelo Gorrini (Citibank, N.A.), María Eugenia Fonseca (DBM Pa-nama, S.A.) and Gerald Gómez (Procter & Gamble). Be sure to Congratu-late them when next you see them.
