‘Lync Online’ Web Application Instructions
***The instructions below are for all Kinder Morgan users that do not have Lync downloaded
on their computer and for all users that are not Kinder Morgan employees.
To attend a Lync Online meeting, you do not need to have Lync Online installed on your computer.
There is an automatic web-based application that can be used.
Step 1: Double-click on the “Join online meeting link”.
Step 2: If Lync is not installed locally on your computer, Lync will recognize this, and run this Microsoft
Lync Web App.
Step 2a: Type in your name and click on the “Join the meeting” link below.
Step 3: If you have never used Microsoft’s Lync Web App before, a separate toolbar message will
display and say “To help protect your security. Internet Explorer blocked this site from downloading
files to your computer. Click here for options…”
Step 3a: Right-click message and choose “Download File…”
The Lync app will restart. Type in your name and double-click on “Join the meeting” (as explained in
Step 2 and 2a above)
Step 4: A Pop-Up Window will appear. Choose the Run button.
Step 5: Another Pop-Up window will appear. Choose the Run button in this window too.
Step 6: Another Pop-Up Window will appear. Choose the ‘Allow’ button.
Step 7: You will see this view if the meeting hasn’t started.
Step 7a: Or this view if the meeting has started.
Step 8: If this view isn’t adequate, you can maximize the presentation size.
Step 8a: Click on the ‘View Icon’ at the bottom right of the screen, and select ‘Presentation View’.
Step 8b: Then, double-click the Full Window icon at the bottom right of the screen.
The will maximize the presentation.
