The Trimec® Single Door System is supplied complete in a box with everything needed, removing the complexity of picking different components and ensuring they will work together.
Simple installed plug and play functionality with a system that configures itself opens an opportunity for those installers making that step into access control.
Hi-O™ overview Introducing the package
Hi-O™ is a standardised new technology for security and control of doorway environments. Hi-O™ enables interconnectivity – communication capability between all the devices involved in a doorway solution. They all speak the same language, regardless of the make of system. This not only means higher security, but also far greater simplicity in management and ongoing control.
In its wired version, Hi-O™ software is based on CAN (Controller Area Network), a reliable, tried and tested standard that has long been used in most new cars, as well as in many other industrial and consumer products. Today there are more than1 billion CAN devices on the market.
Hi-O™ is future-proof and easy to install andconfigure. All parts are connected with molexconnectors and four conductor cables around the door and adding new or replacement parts isproblem-free. The entire system works on the plug and play principle, and new components introduce themselves into the system in the same way as a USB unit is compatible with a PC. The underlying CAN technology is used in many industries and is being more and more widely adopted over time for applications such as door networks.
The crucial difference between Hi-O™ andconventional systems lies in the user-friendliness.Configuring and monitoring the system is fareasier to implement and visualise, thus furtherenhancing security.
Because Hi-O™ is network based and the unitscommunicate with each other, a clear status canbe gleaned simply by reading that communication. This is done with Hi-O™ Manager, a PC program that provides a clear graphical presentation of the system’s units and settings. The Hi-O™ Manager graphical presentation contains dialogue boxes in which all preferences are set: opening times, waiting times, alarm signals, function activation and deactivation, and so on. It is similarly easy to configure each unit in the network around the doorway.
The Trimec® single door electronic access control system is based on the Hi-O™ technology platform providing advanced functionality with seamless plug and play installation.
Installation is simple, devices are connected using molex connectors which easily clip together one way so there is no chance of incorrect wiring making this product ideal for those with minimal knowledge of access control or electrical installations.
Power is supplied from a compact transformer similar to a mobile phone charger that plugs straight into a 230V 3 pin socket, again simple.
The system is supplied complete with an intuitive software package that can be installed onto a PC laptop and connects via USB to the controller. Users can be easily added, deleted or modified via this package. A number of functions are available that would be found on more complex systems such as scheduling access days/times and a number of alarms that can be switched on if required.
The system is supplied with a complete user manual on CD which details each setting and how to configure.
