SILLIMANIANS inBRITISH COLUMBIA (Canada)

By Mr. Sansen Lee Vendiola

On August 28, 2010, theSillimanians in British Columbiaalumni association in Canada wasformed. Since then it has held socialevents each in spring, in summer andin winter aimed at recruiting andreconnecting the over sixty (possiblymore) alumni in the Vancouver area. Thegroup’sactivitiesincludetheinauguralFoundersDaypicnicinAugust2010, Spring Fling Festival 2011 andSpringBreakFast2012,familycampinginJuly2011andinAugust2012,ChristmasPotluck in 2010 and Pasko Na NamanParty in December 2011. Upcomingevent is a lakeside picnic barbeque andsports day on August 26. At thesesocial events, the alumni share Pinoyfood and join in fun and wacky Pinoyparlor games and contests as they retellfavoritestoriesofcampuslifeinSilliman. Spearheaded by Pan HellenicSociety members Elyn Bernardino-Taningco, Dale Gomez, Dayang-
