The Oklahoma State Alumni Foundation recently inducted Delt

alum Vaughn Vennerberg into the OSU Hall of Fame. Vennerberg, who graduated from OSU in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, has made a name for himself in the oil and gas industry. Vennerberg served as the president of XTO Energy up to its subsequent sale to ExxonMobile. He is also the founder and current president of Morningstar Oil and Gas. In his time at OSU, Vennerberg has served as the Interfraternity Council

president, the president of the Blue Key National Honor Society and the president of the Student Union Activities Board. He was also named a top 10 College of Arts & Sciences senior and a Redskin Congradulate. This is not the first award that Vennerberg has earned from his alma mater. He was recognized as an Outstanding Alumni of the College of Arts & Sciences in 2010 and received the OSU Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011. Vennerberg was also recently inducted

In this past year’s Delt Carnival, the chapter raised roughly $22,000.

Proceeds went to the Juvenile Diebetes Research Foundation and the Stillwater Medical Center following the Homecoming car crash. Next fall will be the 15th annual Delt Carnival, so be sure to keep your schedule open for next Homecoming.

We’re always excited to host events that allow alumni to come back

to Stillwater to connect with other Delts. The 2016 Founders’ Day luncheon will be held April 16 at the shelter. All alumni are welcomed to attend, as we hang out with fellow brothers, sharing stories. Afterward, alumni are welcome to walk around the shelter and see the recent renovations to the old wing. The event is free to attend. Alumni are asked to RSVP to Joe Millar no later than April 8 and are welcome to contact the chapter for further information. We hope to see you all there.

A new event is also in the works. The first Delta Chi Alumni Golf Outing will be May 14 at Lakeside Memorial Golf Course to raise money for RUSH. All alumni are welcomed to attend our first golf outing as a chapter. We hope to make this an annual event that can be attended by all alumni for many years to come. The cost is $75 per person, and as with Founder’s Day, alumni are asked to contact Joe Millar to get more information or to RSVP by May 1. There will be lunch provided for participants on the golf course.

In the fall of 2015, Delta Chi chapter initiated 31 members in what was the largest pledge class in recent memory. The class features a diverse group of young men with a number of

different interests, majors and backgrounds. Most come from Oklahoma and Texas, but some come all the way from Massachusetts and California. With many freshmen already filling administrative positions within the chapter and leadership positions on and off campus, the 2015 pledge class has already started to impact the chapter for the better.
