Guest Lecture on Microsoft Project Software for Rehabilitation of

Structures

Department of Civil Engineering organized a Guest Lecture of Mr. Govind Asarkar Alumni 2013

batch. He is the Entrepreneur of M/s Amba Industry, Nagpur. This Lecture is conducted for

Seventh Semester Section B students for the subject Rehabilitation of Structures and Project

Planning and Management on 22/06/2017 total 48 students were present during the presentation. He

delivered one hour lecture on “Scope in Multinational company and planning and scheduling of

infrastructural facilities”. These topics are helpful in understanding basic concept of rehabilitation

of structures, planning and scheduling.. After that group discussion was took place in which all

doubt and queries of students was solved. The whole activity was conducted by Prof. Vishal

Gajghate, Prof. B.J.Godbole and Prof. A.A.Gulghane Assistant Professor in civil Engineering

Department GHRCE Nagpur.

Guest Lecture on “Recent automation & Security System” organized by

Electronics & Telecommunication Department under Alumni Activity

On 22nd June 2017, a guest lecture was organized by the Electronics & Telecommunication

Department department, GHRCE. The lecture was guided by Ms. Sneha Lichade, Web Manager

at MG Automation. Ms. Sneha Lichade is alumni of 2015 Batch of Electronics &

Telecommunication Department, GHRCE. The lecture was conducted on the topic „Recent

automation & Security System‟. She briefed the students about the concepts related to automation

and security challenges related to it. The guest lecture was organized for V semester (Sections C )

students. It was an enlightening session as she shared real life experiences. It was a learning and

interactive session for the students where She answered all the queries put up by the students to

their full satisfaction.. The lecture was organized by Ms. F. T. Ansari, Ms. Priyanka Banswani,

under the supervision of Dr. M. M. Khanapurkar, Head of the department.


Alumni Talk By Mr. Harish Rao, 2004 Batch Alumni

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized an Interaction for 7 Semester

students by Mr. Harish Rao, 2004 Batch Alumni on June 23, 2017. He is working with Tata

Consultancy Services, Bangalore as Sr. Project Manager. In his 14 Years of IT Company

experience, shared a thought in the field of development and customization of Software. He has

delivered a talk on „How to choose your Carrier? What are the needs of IT?‟ He has shared

Experience with the students as they proceed for selection while taking interviews for TCS. Many

of the students has interacted with him and took some positive suggestions for the Placement

activity. Also He has shared his thought about Importance of Higher studies. Head of Computer

Science and Engineering, Prof. Achamma Thomas provides a letter of thanks to him for his talk

and sharing his experience with the students.


Career Activity conducted by Department of Electronics Engineering

carried Personality Development & Interview cracking activity under

Alumni Activity on 28th Jun 2017

Mr. Rohan Tanksale from the batch of Electronics Engineering 2013 as Entrepreneur having

TMS Consultancy services at Pune had carried out Pre- Placement activity for the Final Year

2018 passing batch of section A & B. The activity was oriented to improve good communication

skill development along with the personality development, Resume writing. From the activity

total 137 final year students were benefited from both the section. Over all interaction was only

on how to focus on the placements and section criteria carried out by HR in on-OFF campus!

Alumni Lecture on Licensing Processes In civil engineering and

challenge face


Department of Civil Engineering organized a Alumni Lecture of Mr. Raza Ghaniwala Alumni

2015 batch. This Lecture was conducted for Seventh Semester Section A & B students for the

subject Pavement design Elective -II on 06/07/2017. Total 82 students were present during the

presentation. He delivered Half hour lecture on “Licensing Processes In civil engineering and

challenges face”, He enlightened challenging issues related License pre and post issues. Such as

demonetization and GST are badly affect the infrastructural development for small contractors.

How patiently deal with customer and what are the ways to improve our services.

Alumni Activity conducted by Department of Mechanical Engineering by

Mr. Abhijeet Linge, CEO, Datta Enterprises guiding students

Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized the expert talk on 15-07/2017 by

Mr. Abhijeet Linge, CEO, Datta Enterprises and modular kitchen, Hingna MIDC, Nagpur for the

students of V semester Section B. He is the alumni of 2005 batch. He has guided the students

regarding entrepreneurship skills and the modular industries. The activity is carried out under the

guidance of Dr S R Karale and Mr Laukik P. Raut, T and Incharge, department of Mechanical

Engineering.

Alumni activity organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering by

Mr. Akshay Akulwar, Alumni 2016 guiding students Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized the alumni activity for the students

of III semester Section A. Under this activity the guidance was given by the Mr Akshay

Akulwar, alumni 2016 batch on 21-07-2017. Mr Akshay is going for higher studies in University

of South California in Fall 2017. He guided the students regarding higher education opportunities

in foreign countries. The activity was conducted under the guidance of Mr Laukik P. Raut,

Incharge, T and P, Mechanical Department.


ALUMNI COFFEE CUP MEET INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

STUDENTS Department of Informaton Technology ,G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur

had organized Alumni Coffee Cup Meet on 22nd July 2017 with Alumni Sumeet Hulsulkar (2016

Batch), Prashant Parate (2016 Batch) and Akshay Londhe (2017 Batch). Firstly they shared their

experience with the students of their engineering days. They also showed an interest in

involvement for various activities in GHRCE in the form of seminars, workshops etc. The session

was organized by Alumni Coordinator Prof. C. A. Dhule & Prof. G. S. Khekare from

Information Technology Department. It was a very interactive session and students participated

with full zeal.


Alumni Lecture on Academic Processes for different university in abroad

Department of Civil Engineering organized a Guest Lecture of Mr. Mayur Deshbratar Alumni

2016 batch. This Lecture is conducted for Fifth Semester Section B batch B1 students for the

subject Building Design and Drawing on 25/07/2017. total 22 students were present during the

presentation. He delivered one hour lecture on “Academic Processes for different university in

abroad”, He thrown light on various challenging issues related to academics. He further explains

about visa process different fees in India and abroad.

Coffee with Alumni and Interaction with PG Students on Research

conducted on 29th July 2017 Department of Electronics Engineering recently had made a coffee with Alumni Mr. Sanjay

Belani of Batch 2012. The Alumni Currently working in S.B. Jain College of Engineering under

Department of Electronics Engineering as Assistant Professor. On the eve of presence he wants to

share and discussion with the PG students regarding to research projects and its Importance;

while doing it always need a special care and efforts to settle all objectives with its requirements.

That only way to create your research career was share by the Alumni. He also made focus on the

PhD.


Over all interaction was only on how to focus on the higher studies and opportunities! Activity

Activity organized by Department of Civil Engineering

A guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Ashutosh Milmile at GHRCE, Nagpur. Mr .Ashutosh is an

alumni of Civil Engineering Dept., GHRCE, Nagpur of 2015 Batch & acting as a Bridge

Engineer/ Site EngineerRVNL-KTR Railway project Kanker CG (Patel Engineering Limited

Mumbai). He shared his experience on site of construction of railway track from Kewti to

Rowghat, Kanker District CG as well as shared the moments of his working scenario on site. He

gave knowledge about the equipments used on site for survey work like total station etc. He also

shared his site details that he is working for a railway track construction and hurdles which an

engineer faced during execution. The lecture was very enthusiastic & fruitful for 5th semester

students. This activity was carried out under the guidance of Dr. P. Y. Pawade, Prof. & Head,

Civil Engg. Dept., Prof. M. P. Bhorkar had arranged the activity.


Guest Lecture on “How to Prepare for MS in USA” organized by

Electronics & Telecommunication Department under Alumni Activity

“Where there is a Will, there is a way” proofed by one of the Alumni of Electronics &

Telecommunication Department, GHRCE. Ms. Avanti Bhandarkar student of 2016 batch have

finally admitted in one of the top ranked university of USA for her Master in Science. Her

journey started with GHRCE and she was one of the active students of the department. To

encourage the students, an interaction was organized by the department on 1 August 2017 where

she shared her journey which is neither easy nor impossible for her. Students of III semester

interacted with her and shared their thoughts as well. Being a senior, she asked them to contact

her for any support. Students enjoyed the session and also wished her success in her future

endeavor. The lecture was organized by Ms. F. T. Ansari, Ms. Priyanka Banswani, under the

supervision of Dr. M. M. Khanapurkar, Head of the department.

01/08/2017 “Coffee with Alumni”: Alumni 0f 2002 batch and 2014 batch of mechanical engineering Mr.

Nilesh Bhorkar and Akshay Bhorkar visited department on 1st August 2017. They had interaction

with Dr. A.K Mahallle, Dr. S.R.karale Prof. Laukik P. Raut and shared their past memories and

industrial experience with faculty members . They enjoyed a cup of coffee with the faculty

members.

visited department on 2nd August 2017. He had interaction with Dr. P.V.Walke Dr.S.B.Jaju, Dr.

S.R.karale Prof. Laukik P.Raut and shared his past memories and experience with faculty

Alumni Talk By Mr. Kartik Dave, 2015 Batch Alumni

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized an Interaction by Mr. Kartik

Dave, 2015 Batch Alumni on August 08, 2017. He is working with Tata Consultancy Services

Pune as Jr. Software Engineer. With his 2 Years of IT Company with experience in the field of

Project Development and DBA. He has delivered a talk on „Application and Usability of

Database‟. He has shared his Experience with the students about various database concerns and

its various tools in IT real world. He has discussed about various tools including Cassandra,

SalesForce. Many of the students has interacted with him and took some positive suggestions for

the Placement activity. Also he has delivered tips to crack the personal interviews. he advised

students, „Be Technical in personal interview… They people just requires your basic logical

concepts, training is their part‟. Head of Computer Science and Engineering, Prof. Achamma

Thomas provides a letter of thanks to him for his talk and sharing his experience with the

students. Faculties of wishes him about his future plan of MS in Data Science in Northeastarn

University, Boston.

Alumni Interaction organized by Electronics & Telecommunication

Engineering Department Campus interviews are the most important part of a student‟s life. As soon as time approaches,

students focus on interview preparations and the chances of success at the interview. Career

counseling involves scientifically developed aptitude tests and personality tests that help the

counselor give the best suited career advice to the student based on his report of his aptitude and

personality. Every person has unique characteristics, for everyone has his or her own strengths

and weaknesses. The key is to identify these unique qualities is through guidelines. On August 24

, 2017 Mr. Kapil Tiwari, a prominent student of 2007 batch visited department . He is currently

working as Project Manager at Infosys, United Kingdom. Kapil interacted with the V semester

students to help them with functional knowledge, values and attitudes, desirable habits and skills

needed by them to cope up with the changes in industrial environment. He also supported

students to boost the reasoning aptitude ability and confidence and gave new directions to the

students which will be beneficial for them to crack the interview. The session was organized by

F. T. Ansari, P. R. Banswani under the supervision of Head of the department Dr. M. M.

Guest Lecture on “How to Survive in Industry” organized by Electronics

& Telecommunication Department under Alumni Activity On 28 April 2017, a seminar was organized by the Electronics & Telecommunication

Engineering Department, GHRCE. The lecture was guided by Mr. Aashar Panchalan & Krutika

Tembhrey working as Software Analyst At TCS & Infocept respectively.

Mr. Aashar Panchalan is alumni of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Department,

GHRCE, Nagpur. The lecture was conducted on the topic “How to Survive in Industry”. The

attendees were the students of IV sem .It was an enlightening session as he shared real life

experiences. He focused on various terms related to industry that irrespective of technical

knowledge it is also important to have skills to manage the all possible situations in case of

emergency. It was a learning and interactive session for the students where He answered all the


queries put up by the students to their full satisfaction.. The lecture was organized by Ms. F. T.

departmental final Year students 5th A on the Higher Studies in Abroads She had highlighted the

pre-preparation by individuals on the basis of aptitude, getting aware about technical activities

under IEEE which are most significantly marked while interviews. Students interacted on the

syllabus and preparation and planning. She replied to make quite good and strong technical

knowledge should require for cracking the Entrance exams.

batch. This Lecture was conducted for Fifth Semester Section B students for the topic of

construction processes on 04/09/2017. Total 28 students were present during the presentation. He

delivered lecture on “PWD Construction Processes In civil engineering and Structural Aspects”, He

enlightened challenging issues related construction procedure in government.


ALUMNI GUEST LECTURE ON CAREER COUNSELING Department of Informaton Technology ,G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur

had organized Guest Lecture on the topic “Career Counseling” on 09th SEPT 2016 for IIIrd &

Vth semester students. The speaker was Ms. Susmita Guin, student alumni 2016, G. H. Raisoni

College of Engineering, Nagpur. Firstly he shared his experience with the students of his

engineering days & motivated the students for doing research work. Then, guided the students for

campus selection process and elaborated how to approach companies for six month internship.

The session was organized by Alumni Coordinator Prof. C. A. Dhule & Prof. G. S. Khekare

from Information Technology Department. It was a very interactive session and students
