Fixing systems for curtain walls
BSP extruded aluminum brackets are designed to fix aluminum curtain wall facades. Optimally
designed brackets allows the transfer of all loads from the construction of the facade to the main
load-bearing structures of the building.
BSP bracket system allows very precise positioning of the cladding panels, with the possibility of adjusting its posi-
tion in three directions without the need to use leveling pads.
Advantages of extruded aluminum brackets BSP for curtain wall facades:
Resistance to weather, especially when compared with steel brackets.
Light weight important for the cost of transportation.
Possibility of drilling additional holes or cuttings without the need for special anticorrosion treatment.
No galvanic corrosion at the interface with other elements of aluminum.
No welded joints and the risks of improper welding work.
Lack of internal stress states, characteristic of consoles bent or welded.

Fixing systems for ventilated façades
Aluminum made substruction for fixing cladding panels consists of brackets and the profiles. It
is used for precise fixing of cladding panels, ie: fiber-cement, HPL, aluminium composite, archi-
tectural concrete, aluminum louvers, and other cladding materials.
Brackets are used to transfer loads between the profiles and the structure of the building. Depending on
the distance between cladding panels and the main structure of building brackets of different outreach are
used. In order to reduce instalation time and make the fixing work easier the shape of brackets has been
designed for easy adjustment and proper lining of the grid observing required tolerances and variations in
alignment. BSP brackets can correct the variations of alignment up to + / - 20 mm without the need to use
leveling pads.
There are generally two kinds of vertical profiles: “T” profiles (KWR1, KWR3, KWR9) used for connections of
two cladding panels and “L” profiles (KWR2, KWR4, KWR5, KWR7, KWR10, KWR11) appropriate to fix the pa-
nels in other areas.
Both have small grooves on the outer surface what considerably increases the durability the junction betwe-
en the profiles and cladding material.
Advantages of extruded aluminum brackets applied for ventilated façades:
Increased capacity allowing for cost optimization when calculating mechanical parameters of the substructure.
Patented foot leading to substantial improving of the mecanical strength of bracket.
Extruded brackets compared to bent brackets have no initial stresses and microcracks that weaken their
mechanical proprieties.
Resistance to weather, especially when compared with steel brackets.
Light weight important for the cost of transportation and handling.
Possibility of cutting or drilling additional holes without the need for special anticorrosion treatment.
No galvanic corrosion between different aluminum elements.
High aesthetics of fabrication: brackets can be optionally supplied as a powder coated or anodized.
Reduced delivery time and vast range of products available from stock.

Heat transfer reduction
The technology of the ventilated façade has a number of important advantages such as excellent thermal insulation proper-ties, great possibilities of architectural design, high aesthetic values, fast moisture dissipation from the building, etc. Unfor-tunately ventilated facades also have one unfavorable disadvantage: heat bridges. Aluminum support structure (brackets and profiles) used for fastening the cladding panels to the building construction is among the factors which considerably contribute to the uncontrolled heat transfer between the interior and the exterior part of the building. The brackets being made of materials of high thermal conductivity go through the layers of insulation and consequently create the way for in-creasing the heat losses.
The formation of thermal bridges has the following consequences:
Heat loss resulting energy losses, which directly affects the energy balance of the building
Cooling of the outer walls resulting vapor and moisture condensation in the area of the insulation and construction materials. This in turn can contribute to the development of harmful fungi and molds
In the figure below, one can observe the temperature distribution arround the standard BSP aluminum bracket (without the use of thermal insulators).
Reduction of risk of thermal bridges in ventilated facades can be achieved through appropriate planning and careful manu-facturing of the supporting structures.
These should be done in accordance with the established construction trade practices In view of the fact that rules and stan-dards for the thermal protection parameters in construction projects (heat transfer coefficient value) have become more and more challenging, these methods may no longer be sufficient. This is why BSP developed an innovative solution that radically and efficiently resolves the problem of thermal bridges offering a unique opportunities to the architects and constructors specializing in energy efficient construction projects: passive brackets.
Methods to minimize the risk of thermal bridges: 1. Using of foamed PVC or special plastic material as thermal insulation and anticorrosion
protection materials isolating the brackets from the wall.2. Applying BSP substraction where less brackets are needed and thus the number of po-
tential thermal bridges is reduced.3. Using of passive brackets (with a non-metallic component) which almost completely
eliminates the thermal bridge phenomenon.The following figure shows the temperature distribution around the BSP passive bracket.

Regarding the constantly increasing requirements concerinng the insulating performances for external walls insulations our R&D division developed a passive bracket. The product is dedicated to architects, designers and Contractors looking for a modern, energy-efficient and innovative solutions.
Passive bracket virtually completely eliminates thermal bridges enabling to meet already today the strict requirements for the heat transfer coefficient value (Umax) provided for 2021.
These values for walls are the following:

Through in-depth research and analysis BSP developed a new economical extruded aluminum made
substructure dedicated to mounting cladding façade panels. BRACKET ECO range consists of brac-
kets (170 mm of outreach, five different foot dimension size) and a set of extruded profiles. Brac-
kets have a variable wall thickness for maximum load capacity with optimized aluminum usage.
Note: The BSP recommends the use of ECO BRACKET profiles and brackets up to 12 m of building height.

Profile ECO BRACKET Type KWR9
During development of the ECO BRACKET range well proven solutions, known from standard
BSP substructure, were applied such as riffled surface of profiles to facilitate the draining of
water and atmospheric moisture from the gap between the panels and profiles.
The thickness of supporting profiles made of extruded aluminum were optimized and could
be applied wherever the aluminum support structure does not require to transfer significant
loads.
Note: BSP recommends the use of ECO BRACKET profiles and brackets up to 12 m height of the
building.

Hanging brackets system (horizontal rail)
BSP hanging bracket system allows for precise fixing of HPL cladding, fiber cement and other
types of cladding panels used both indoors and on the external ventilated façades. The hanging
system enables the distance adjustment in the vertical direction up to 10 mm. To secure precise vertical
adjustment, a screw and a nut set in a particularly designed guide channel are used. To facilitate the
operation of hole drilling there are markers on the surface of the profile.
As additional advantage BSP hanging system enables easy removing and re-attachment, without damaging
the panels and profiles.
The system is used in the following configurations:
When there is no need for leveling uneven walls and the use of thermal insulation, supporting profile
KWRW is mounted directly to the wall. The hanging element is attached directly to the back of the cladding
panel (fixing with glue or undercut anchors). - Fig. 1
When thermal insulation is required, then we apply additional vertical supporting profiles attached to the
wall with KW1 brackets. These profiles are used to fix the horizontal KWRW supporting profiles, on which
cladding panels are mounted. - Fig. 2

Profile BSP Type KWR6
The BSP Floor to Floor has been designed to minimize the amount of substructure between
the façade panels and the wall of the building. The principle of the Floor to Floor system is to
increase the distance between the neighboring brackets, mostly from floor to floor of a building.
Brackets are fixed to the structural elements of the building, most often to the face of the floor slab.
Brackets K1 and K2 meet elevated requirements for mechanical capacity and rigidity of the supporting
elements in order to transfer considerable stresses resulting from rare distribution of brackets fixed only
in the floor slabs at floor height.
On the other hand, vertical profiles KWR6 have reinforced structure, so that it can safely carry the increased
wind load and the deflection forces do not exceed the critical value. Specially shaped grooved outer
surface, significantly increase the stability of the connection between profile and panel.
Advantages of BSP Floor to Floor system:
Reduced number of brackets allowing for significant reduction of thermal bridges.
Reduced number of brackets allowing for reduced installation time.
Mounting brackets to the bearing structure of the building, usually reinforced concrete simplifies
installation and allows for using standard expansion anchors instead of expensive chemical anchors.

System “BSP Solar” for solar panels fixing on façade
BSP Solar System is dedicated to mounting of solar panels or collectors on the building walls,
such as ventilated façade. The system allows for independent installation of solar panels, as
well as their harmonious incorporation into a ventilated façade among standard cladding panels.
The system can be applied to fix all types of solar panels and collectors designed to operate in the vertical
position.
Advantages of horizontal installation of solar panels as a façade in comparison to traditional
roofing installation:
Increased solar coverage, which is the percentage of energy supplied by the solar panels in relation to the
demand for energy, depending on the insolation quantities of the collectors and the size of the storage
tank.
Continuous cooling by the air flow circulation (chimney effect) in the ventilation gap between the solar
panel and the wall of building.
Easy access to the panels to remove impurities that cause efficiency loss.
No risk of snow cover and full efficiency in the winter.
A smaller distance between the collector and the storage tank, usually placed in the boiler room on the
ground floor.
