Scientific method
The main features of animal circulatory system is blood, vessel
and heart

• have four chambers which keeps oxygenated and deoxygenated separate. This makes oxygen exchange more efficient.

Scientific explaination
In fact, blood vessels create multiple loops to serve different parts of the body.
That is, one drop of blood does not circulate completely around the body before returning to the heart.
An artery will take it to one part of the body, a veinwill bring it back.

1. Divide the class into two groups
2. Give each group a card that describes a location of blood flowing through the circulatory system.

The capillary cards are bothred and blue, denoting an exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
3. Ask students to position themselves using their cards to form a “double circle” (or figure eight), representing the correct flow of blood from the heart to the lungs, back to the heart, out to the body and back to the heart.
4. Remind students that both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood ispumped throughout the body at all times. The capillary cards are bothred and blue, denoting an exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide
5. After the students form their “double circle,” they should pass around the red blood cells (tennis ball), reading their part of the body when theyreceive the ball. This will reinforce the flow of blood through the circulatorysystem. The class will then tape their cards to the board in a “doublecircle” to show the correct order of blood flow throughout the body.
6. Have students squeeze the tennis ball a few times. This exercise
demonstrates how hard your heart works with every heartbeat. An
average adult heart beats (squeezes) about 70–80 times in one minute.
If something is wrong with your heart, the heart muscle has to work
extra hard to supply your cells with the proper nutrients. This additional
work puts stress on your heart and may cause problems for your heart
and the rest of your body.
