ANALYSIS OF ALTERNATIVES
The proposed project is widening of existing State Highway. The existing alignment has been followed and existing
Right of Way (RoW) has been utilized to the maximum extent possible to minimize acquisition of additional land. Major
acquisition of land has been proposed for bypasses. Alternative analysis of site for Bypass Locations has been conducted
and details furnished in the following sections.
1 ALTERNATIVE ANALYSIS OF BYPASSES
Bypasses have been proposed for built-up areas at 8 locations (Pithwas, Luni, Satlana, Bacharna, Dhundhara, Bhanawas, Samadadi, Parloo) where geometric improvements are not possible as per design standards along the existing highway. Alternatives alignments for the bypasses have been analyzed using google maps and topo maps to best suitable alignment. The alternative analyses of proposed 8 bypasses are given in the following sections.
Pithwas Bypass
Analysis of alternative for Pithwas Bypass is presented in the below table and figure.
