Alternate Energy Moving water is a powerful entity responsible for lighting entire cities, even countries. This idea for Alternate energy is an old one dating all the way back to the ancient Greeks whom used water wheels with buckets of water in them, the water would turn the wheel creating mechanical energy from kinetic allowing them to do tasks like crush grain with these machines. Eventually people realized that the force of water falling from a height would turn a turbine connected to a generator to produce electricity. For example Niagara Falls, a natural waterfall, powered the first hydroelectric plant in Hydro-Electric Energy Zero-point energy is the energy that remains when all other energy is removed from a system. This behaviour is demonstrated by, for example, liquid helium. As the temperature is lowered to absolute zero, helium remains a liquid, rather than freezing to a solid, owing to the irremovable zero-point energy of its atomic motions. (Increasing the pressure to 25 atmospheres will cause helium to freeze.) Quantum physics predicts that all of space must be filled with electromagnetic zero-point fluctuations (also called the zero-point field) creating a universal sea of zero-point energy. The density of this energy depends critically on where in frequency the zero-point fluctuations cease. Since space itself is thought to break up into a kind of quantum foam at a tiny distance scale called the Planck scale ( cm), it is argued that the zero point fluctuations must cease at a corresponding Planck frequency (10 43 Hz). If that is the case, the zero-point energy density would be 110 orders of magnitude greater than the radiant energy of the Sun. Zero-Point Energy Geo-Thermal Energy is brought to the surface by extracting hot water that is circulating amongst the sub surface rocks, or by pumping cold water into the hot rocks and returning the heated water to the surface, to drive steam turbines to produce electricity. Geothermal energy holds the promise of being a renewable energy source that can operate 24 hours a day, providing critical large scale base load power for Australian homes and industries. In addition, geothermal energy can be used for heating and cooling purposes. There are a number of buildings, residential homes and swimming pools that currently use geothermal for these purposes. This type of energy could be used and harnessed with relative ease, after all weve as humans used plasma as a source of energy for years. The fourth state of matter is plasma the sun and about 99% of our universe is made of plasma the 3 other states of matter make up 1%. Our real problem is creating enough initial energy to create stabilised (balls) of plasma, our other problem would be containing the power of this plasma. As much like our sun it would create solar flares and whilst not being to powerful its going supernova on Earth wouldnt be highly appreciated. My proposal for containing partially of the super-nova is using graphene a substance so thin millions or billions of layers could fit in millimetres a large hollow sphere of graphene could sustain the supernova theoretically it would flex and bend around the contact points and contain the blast creating a clean source of energy capable of outlasting others with output and longevity. In conclusion alternate energy sources such as hydro-electric, geothermal, zero point energy and even use of plasma for energy are clean and nature-friendly alternatives to fossil fuels and other harmful polluting energy sources. The use of these along with others such as wind or solar even bio mass energy could be safer alternatives that dont slowly kill the very ecosystem we rely on, so i believe if the human race where to change its course of action by the year 2050 and the far future could be a sustainable and healthy one for the entire human race all the species on earth and the planet itself.
