1 Introduction

Alteon Application Switch provides a wide range of alerts about its various functionalities, allowing integration with central monitoring and control systems or personal enhanced monitoring by administrators. The following document outlines the full details and description of each of the SNMP traps that may be issued by Alteon.

2 Alteon Traps

The list of Alteon specific traps uses the following format:

sending protocol entity recognizes a

A Trap-PDU of type linkDown contains, as the first element of its variable-bindings, the name and value of the ifIndex instance for the affected interface.
