From the Health Office:
Physical Required for Grade 10 Entry
The Southington Board of Education requires each student to have a health examination during grade nine to be completed by entry into grade ten. The Health Assessment Record (blue form) should be on file by no later than the first day of school when entering tenth grade.
This examination must include a vision test, hearing test, blood pressure, postural screening, hemoglobin or hematocrit, tuberculin risk assessment, chronic disease assessment, and any immunizations update to be verified by your doctor.
Physicals must be completed within one year prior to the first day of school. No tenth grade student may start school without a complete examination and documentation. If your son/daughter's physical is not on file by the first day of school, he or she will be sent home.
Blue health forms are available in school nursing offices or a copy can be found on the SPS website:

Mr. Pulley’s science students release trout fingerlings
into the Red River in Meriden. Afterwards they
enjoyed kayaking.
Students attended the Construction Career Expo
to explore future job opportunities.
Graduating seniors are invited to join the Alta staff for breakfast at 7:00 a.m. at
The Carousel restaurant prior to graduation rehearsal at SHS on Tuesday, June
21st. Students are responsible for their meals and transportation to the breakfast
and to SHS.
More information about the graduation ceremony, including tickets, can be found
on the SHS website:
