Registration for Build a Better World summer reading begins Saturday, June 3. Classes and prize check-ins begin the week of June 18 and run through July 29. Most children’s classes are first come, first served and require no registration. Children with their own AMPPLD library card should arrive 30 minutes before each class to secure a name tag. Build a Better WorldChildren from birth through grade 8 are invited to participate in our Youth Services classes, events, and prize programs happening all summer long. Summer Reading provides an opportunity to enrich children’s literacy skills and develop a strong connection to lifelong learning through the library.

Reading Through TimeOf course the library’s summer reading programs aren’t just for kids. Adults & Teens are encouraged to get involved in their own Summer Reading Program, Reading Th rough Time. Reading just four books between June 3 and July 29 not only makes you eligible for a fi nishing prize, but you’ll also be entered into our Grand Prize Drawing! Any book checked out through the library qualifi es. Books can be fi ction or nonfi ction and any format: audio, ebook, graphic novel, print, large print.
