HEROES PROJECT REPORT

The Heroes project featured 24 three-minute New Mexico hero

stories and 314 news announcements during a 14 day period; a

value of $100,000.00 plus promotional dollars dedicated to

promoting our New Mexico Heroes and promoting the

philanthropic aspects of the Greek life community.

The KOAT pre-game promotion schedule culminated

in a live broadcast on

Friday, September 11, 2015 @ 6-8AM!!

September 5-12TH

Each day the Greek life Black Diamond

flights were followed live by KOAT’S SKY 7

from various launch sites in the metro area.

KOAT ACTION 7 News followed the action

live, as KOAT banners and Wounded

Warrior Project banners

were displayed on the

Black

Diamond.

SEPT 11TH

Live from

UNM

Stadium

on a

Friday

morning,

an

incredible

broadcast

finale

included

the

following

elements:

A) Full access to UNM Stadium began at

5:30am to 8am with full stadium lighting.

B) A full security detail was provided.

C) Interactive live scoreboard with live

video feeds was simulcast from KOAT

studios, as well as Sky 7 gyro video with

live audio

from the

pilot. Live

video was

broadcast

from the

Black

Diamond

balloon via TVU.

D) 54 Cheerleaders were in full uniform

performing stunting and tumbling on demand

for live

television.

E) 125 college

students were on

hand for 70 minutes

of live television

and Pep Rally enthusiasm. The rally featured 3 live

interviews from several UNM Greek

Life representatives.

F) The $120,000 special shape

Black Diamond hot air balloon

was featured throughout each

morning’s broadcast, with WWP

and special sponsor logos featured

daily including Greek life

participants.

G.) World Champion

Troy Bradley and

several Greek Life

The FIJI Black

Diamond.

H) President of

UNM Board of

Regents, Jack

Fortner and his

wife, personally

donated $1000 to

N.M. Henderson

House.

I) Several Greek organizations

were on hand to explain the

Texting Project for all Lobo

football game attendees (WWP

90999).

One of several live broadcasts from UNM

stadium featured Jack Fortner as he described his

days as a UNM student and ATO member. Jack’s

daughter is presently a Greek life member.

J) Sky 7 on demand, with its gyro

video mount, was looped through

live on the Jumbotron score board.

K) The FIJI BLACK DIAMOND flew the Director of Football Recruiting through the

downtown ABQ business center. KOAT’s Sky 7 followed with its live video

feed, complimenting a live TVU on board the Black Diamond. Four KOAT anchors,

including one reporter at UNM Stadium reported the action with 3 video cameras.

A microwave hook up beamed the action to their studio, and a live simulcast feed

was broadcast back into the

Scoreboard Jumbotron.

SEPTEMBER 12TH

FIJI sponsored a free tailgate with 580 dinners

served to KOAT staff and UNM Greek Life

members.

On game day, 15 special posters were given

to the Spirit Squads to promote mobile

texting. This method of fund raising could

be a staple in all new Greek life fundraising .

Video cameras followed the texting activity

live in the stadium to a record size football

crowd brought to UNM stadium by the

masterful Channel 7 promotion.

In addition to more than $112,000.00 of

cash equivalent in television promotion,

local businesses donated $8,300.00 in

operational cash. Mobile Texting and other

community fundraising garnered more than

$22k in cash donations which was given

directly to New Mexico Heroes including

New Mexico’s own Henderson House

dedicated to our Homeless female veterans.

- Quite a success story!!

In addition to more than $112,000.00 in television promotion, $8,300.00

in operational cash donations, texting and community fundraising

garnered more than $22k in donations. The donations were given

directly to New Mexico Heroes including New Mexico’s own Henderson

House, dedicated to Homeless female veterans. –

Quite a success story!!

Participants from UNM Greek Life were joined by 56 UNM Cheerleaders. They were

on hand to promote the SEPT 12th UNM LOBO football game and raise awareness

for New Mexico’s Veteran charities, Henderson House, and Wounded Warriors

Project. $100,000.oo in television advertising time was donated to the Greek Life

project and more than $21,000.00 was raised for local charities.
