Congratulations to Joan Jones, of Alpha Chapter in Montgomery who was recognized as our

Alabama State Achievement Award recipient on Saturday at Fall Board! Joan works tirelessly,

usually behind the scenes for Alabama State DKG, and is certainly deserving of this honor.

Congratulations also to the 9 chapters who were awarded the Order of the Rose distinction as well.

These chapters will be formally recognized at the Alabama State Convention February 22-24, 2019

at the Embassy Suites in Huntsville, Alabama.

the 2018 USATF and AAU Junior

Olympics in Track and Field. Spicer

placed 1st

in the 400m, 2nd

100m and 2nd

in the 200m qualifying

her for a spot in the USATF Junior

Olympics. She presently holds 3 state

championships (AL 4A-5A) in the

60m, 100m, and 200m races 2018

National Club Championships.
