Provides information, tips, and recommendations that are important for the safety and proper functioning.

Safety information for electrical equipment for use in industrial power plants

This information sheet with the warnings is considered a supplement to the product-specific operating instructions and must be paid particular attention for reasons of safety.

DANGER

DANGER!

The electrical machines or devices are operating equipment for use in industrial power plants. During operation, this equipment has dangerous, live, bare parts, and also moving or rotating parts, if necessary. They could cause severe physical injury or material damage, for example, if the required covers are improperly removed, if used improperly, incorrect operation or insufficient maintenance.

For the safety of the system, the responsible persons must therefore ensure that only qualified persons are contracted to perform work on the machine or devices; these persons must have the supplied operating instructions and other necessary documents of the product documentation always available during all corresponding work and are obliged to observe the information in these documents consistently; unqualified persons are forbidden from performing work on the machine or equipment or working in its vicinity. Qualified personnel are persons who, due to their education, experience, training, as well as their knowledge of pertinent standards, provisions, accident prevention regulations, and company conditions, have received authorisation from the persons responsible for the safety of the system to perform

the required tasks whilst recognising and preventing possible dangers (for the definitions of expert personnel, also see VDE 0105 or IEC 364). This includes but is not limited to having knowledge of first-aid measures and local rescue facilities. For work on high-voltage systems, the prohibition of the use of unqualified personnel is regulated in DIN VDE 0105 or IEC 364, for example.

DANGER

DANGER!

► The fundamental planning work of the system, as well as all work with regard to transport, assembly, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair must be performed by qualified personnel and inspected by responsible specialized personnel.

► In particular, the following must be observed:

Technical data and specifications about the permitted use (assembly, connection, environmental and operating conditions, and requirements) which, among others, are contained - in the catalogue - the order documents - the operating instructions - the rating plate data of the remaining product documentation.

► The general set-up and safety regulations, the local system-specific conditions

and requirements, the proper use of tools, lifting and transport equipment, the use of personal safety equipment, assembly requirements for devices, which are supplied, if necessary, corresponding to IP00 (without cover):

► During operation, the required protection against accidental contact must

be present, respectively, a dangerous proximity must be prevented.

NOTE

For reasons of clarity, the operating instructions are not able to include all detailed information about possible versions and are not able to take into account every conceivable case with regard to setup, operation or maintenance.

Accordingly, the information contained in the operating instructions only contains information about the proper use of the machine or equipment in industrial areas of application which is required for qualified personnel (see above). If higher requirements are placed, for example, in special cases for an intentional use of the machinery or equipment in non-industrial areas (e.g. prevention of contact by children's fingers or similar), the fulfilment of these additional requirements must be ensured during the assembly by the provisioning of additional safety measures on the system.

NOTE

Information about the observance of accident prevention regulations

Since we do not supply an operationally ready machine or system, but rather, a component, we are not able to provide standardised safety equipment without knowledge about the rotary indexing table environment. Our accessories program includes different covers over toothed belts, V-belts, chains, and end-switch actuation, either for the purposes of contact protection or also in sealed design for all sizes and drive versions. If you have ordered the rotary table without sufficient safety equipment, you must absolutely provide for this yourself. Due to the previously mentioned reasons, we would like to again point out that we shall not accept any claims directed towards us that arise from non-observance of the accident prevention regulations in question. Also outside of our scope of responsibility are cutting and crushing hazards which arise through drill holes or other openings, both through the table top as well as through the underlying or overlying fixed table plate.

This sheet was already sent to you with the order confirmation.

WARNING

WARNING!

► The switch cabinet contains electrical devices and components of these electrical devices with live dangerous voltages. Improper use of these devices can therefore lead to death or severe personal injury or damage.

► Installation and commissioning may only be performed by qualified, trained, and instructed electricians. These persons must be fully familiar with the content of these instructions.

► The precise knowledge of the operating instructions, the circuit

diagram, the control system manuals, as well as the operating instructions of the rotary table is a requirement for a trouble-free continuous operation

Description of the software process

General

By means of an internal FIBRO SOFTWARE PROGRAM, we can operate the rotary table FIBROTOR with a SEW frequency

converter via 13 inputs and 3outputs.

At FIBRO, the frequency converter has been pre-set suitably to the rotary table and the motor.

The software is written in a way that the maximum or minimum rotational speed is driven via the control, depending on the

procedure situation.

Procedure

Via selecting DI12 (fast/slow) and DI01 “Turn clockwise” or DI02 “Turn counterclockwise” and pending signal of the

proximity switch DI04 “-S10 indexing table in standstill”, as well as pending signals via the outputs DO03 “Release for

processing” and DO02 “Ready for operation/malfunction”, one can realise a turning movement via a stroke by means of a

start signal DI10 “Start”. After the start signal, the output DO03 is taken away. As soon as it arrives again on the proximity

switch DI04 “-S10 indexing table in standstill”, the output DO03 “Release for processing” is reported as high signal. From

this signal, you can start externally! The output is realised via the cam “-S10 indexing table in standstill”.

In case of overrun of the rotary table, the output DO03 “release for processing” is taken away!

Via the input DI03 “-S12 motor off”, the rotary motion is stopped and the output DO03, after which the input DI04 is

pending, is set. After a renewed start signal, the next rotary motion is carried out.

The output DO03 “Ready for operation” has a set output signal, as soon as no malfunction is pending.

Malfunction D02

If no signal is present at the output DO02 “Ready for operation/malfunction”, then a malfunction has been caused!

A malfunction can be: - both proximity switches have no signal

- safe stop (STO)

- right/left both active

- device error F-08 (current limit, parameter 303), TH/TF (temperature motor) see operating unit

SEW

- Stop input DI11 “stop” wired

At the signal aspect, no signal at DI04 “-S10 indexing table in standstill” and DI03 “-S12 motor off”, a rotary motion cannot

be initiated. Here, a mechanical intervention or a check of the cam adjustment with the function of the proximity switches is

required.

Reset input DI00

Malfunction=0/Ready for operation=1 (At device fault F-XX see error code in the SEW documents!)

At each malfunction DO02 “Ready for operation/malfunction”, the malfunction is reset via the input DI00 “reset”, if a

device fault is no longer present!

EMERGENCY STOP circuit!

When an emergency stop loop is integrated, the power must be shut off between FU and three-phase brake motor, and the

inputs DI01 (clockwise) and DI02 (counterclockwise) must be disconnected from the mains, and DI11 must be wired!

After the emergency stop loop has been reconnected, you can continue the rotary motion as described in the section

“Procedure”.

Stop input DI11!

Here, the rotary table is stopped during its turning phase! Must also be wired at emergency stop and safe stop!

The rotary table does not turn, as long as the stop input is pending!

Variant moving to intermediate position

Procedure

By means of the input “DI13” preselection intermediate position; you activate the program for moving to this intermediate

position in creep speed.

The following wiring is necessary for moving to the intermediate position.

- Set DI13 to “high”

By means of DI10 “Start”, the rotary table moves to the position DI16 “-S13 intermediate position”.

When the intermediate position is reached via the proximity switch “–S13 intermediate position”, DO03 is set to “high”,

and output DO02 is set to “low”.

Output message:

- DO02 low signal = no malfunction, a malfunction is caused here!

- DO03 high signal = release

In order to leave the intermediate position and to get back to a “right/left” initial position,

DI13 “Preselection intermediate position” is set to Low, DO03 goes off and by means of the input DI00 “Reset”

the created error is reset and with the selection DI01 or DI02 “right or left” and with a start DI10, the table moves to the initial

position.

Output message at right/left operation

- DO02 high signal = no malfunction

- DO03 high signal = release

Behaviour in case of malfunction

Proximity switch –S13 intermediate position defective

Rotary table turns until the next position.

Output message

- DO02 low Signal = no malfunction

- DO01 low Signal = release

Check the proximity switch!!

Move again into a new position!

First possibility: -- move once more to the intermediate position

Second possibility: -- turn either clockwise or counterclockwise.

Additional notes for selection “slow/fast” via input DI12

If the input DI12 is wired, then the table turns with the set maximum rotational speed, which is set in the parameter 160. To the intermediate position If the input DI12 is not wired, then the table turns with the minimum rotational speed, with is set in the parameter 161.

Additional adjustment of the rotational speed Via the parameter (160 “Internal nominal value N11”(fast) and the parameter 161 “Internal nominal value N12”(slow)), the rotational speed can be subsequently reprogrammed. Do not make this adjustment without consulting the company FIBRO.

Integrated control panel Operation only by qualified personnel. After an untrained intervention, a smooth operation can no longer be guaranteed. In this case, we are not liable for damages.

Start-up information - please observe!!!!!!!!!!!

The start-up engineer must program a time monitoring parallel to the movement. The time monitoring should also be tested, so that this time monitoring is adjusted also after an emergency stop. If the rotary table procedure is not realised within this time period, then one must disconnect the voltage from the inputs. (low wiring)

Device faults F-XX and parameter settings

Error indication on the display. For error description see operating instruction “Movitrac B” by company SEW. Example: Malfunctions that have to be readjusted without mechanical intervention, for example “Parameter changes afterwards”, for the adaptation of the rotary table. Common mistake "F-08"! This error occurs when a larger mechanical current is required! In most cases, you can remove it by means of the parameter "303" by increasing the current setting! Factory setting FIBRO according to measurement data and increase of 10% of the pasram "303" Shipped! What is also a measure, the parameter "441"(delay time) should be increased! After the error has been remedied, if this has not already been made by switching off the FU, one must actuate the button on the operator display. Afterwards, actuate the button . Disconnect the input left DI01 or right DI02 and connect them again, thereafter one can move to the initial position by means of a start signal DI10.

CAUTION!!!!!!! For safety-related troubleshooting, e.g. mechanical intervention, it is IMPORTANT to switch of the voltage supply of the frequency converter.
