Roger and I Arrive At The Cotswold Bruderhof. In May or June of 1939 there began to be ominous signs of a war with Nazi Germany. Roger and I had been living almost as hermits with our baby Paulo, unable to earn a living because Roger was a deserter from the French Army. Naturally we were beginning to wonder about our future. Every month we received a news bulletin from the Peace Pledge Union, and the current issue contained an article about the Cotswold Bruderhof.
