Science Cafè
Science CafèWelcome. Relax, take a coffee or a beer. The discussion will start in a moment, but don't be too impatient. We are here to explore, discover and enjoy science and technology
A Science Cafè is a discussion about some topics in science and technology as scientists do. This does not mean drawing formulas on napkins, but discussing with experts all on the same ground, where the public, and not the experts, are at home!

Scicafè Web bookDuring a kick-off meeting of “Scicafè” Prof. Duncan (the inventor of modern Science Cafè) told us that he would have liked to write a book about Science Cafè and he asked for our cooperation. We wrote some chapters and we asked people from all the world to describe their motivations, dreams and experiences about Science Cafè.
Currently the book is published online to allow people to add or change their witnesses at the address:https://sites.google.com/site/scicafewebbook.

Widening the experience
Widening the experienceduring the event
Another task of the European project is the use of the new technology to facilitate and increase the participation. We had several changes to the traditional formula of Science Cafè.
During the event we broadcast it via streaming audio and video, and we use a chat to collect applications from people who participate via the web.Wid

RadioMokaA typical episode of this second season has 5 sections:• the preface,• an introduction, • an interview, • a column about physics or chemistry, • the next scheduling for the science cafés.
We space the sections with music clips, chosen for their relation with the subject under discussion.
The programme receives a good acceptance and we are investigating about its results in terms of new public.
Radiomoka helped us to improve our communication capacity, and we think it should be a perfect practise for each researcher all over the world
