Proven in hand sanitizers, AMP-ULTRA™ PC 2000 has cemented its place as the neutralizer of choice for crystal clear carbomer gels with high alcohol content. After heating at 50°C for 1 week, the clarity observed in the hand sanitizer using AMP-ULTRA™ PC 2000 is unmatched among other commonly used pH adjusters.

The clarity experienced in hand sanitizers is also observed in foaming cleansers using fatty acid surfactants. TRIS AMINO™ ULTRA PC is the preferred neutralizer for this application. The beneficial electrostatic interactions with the fatty acid creates a more efficient cleansing system that creates a richer foam upon application. The synergies between the protonated primary amino alcohol (aminium ion) and the anionic carboxylate group allows for lower CMC levels to be achieved, which greatly increases the cleansing efficiency of the products.

PROCEDURE:

1. Heat the ingredient from phase A to 75°C.

2. Premix phase B and add into phase A under stirring.

3. Add phase C into phase A+B under stirring. Keep the mixture heated to 75°C.

4. Premix and heat phase D to 75°C. Add into the phase A+B+C under stirring until homogeneous.

5. Remove from heating and keep stirring until approx. 40°C. Add phase E.

6. Pack with the propellant.

COMMENTS:

PROCEDURE: (cold process with propeller - heidolph device)

1. Mix phase A with a propeller 2 min. at 200 rpm.

2. Sprinkle Carbopol® Ultrez 21 in the surface of phase A. Wait until the polymer has completely “wet out.” Begin gentle agitation (200 rpm) for 5 min.

3. Add phase C ingredients in order one-by-one and mix until a clear and thick gel is obtained.

3. Add phase D and mix until uniform.

4. Verify that the pH is around 7-7.5 .

COMMENTS:

Viscosity: 30000 cP (Brookfield RVDV-II+ Pro, Spindle 5, 10 rpm, 1 min.)

pH = 7.56

QuickTURNCleansing Liquid Foam

PROCEDURE:

1. Combine and heat phase A at 75°C.

2. Combine and heat phase B at 75°C.

3. Slowly add phase A to phase B and mix for 20 - 30 min. at 75 - 80°C.

4. Allow mixture to cool slowly to 65°C before adding phase C. Mix until uniform.

5. Cool mixture to 45-50°C before adding phase D with gentle mixing.

6. Continue mixing till mixture has cooled to 30 - 35°C. When mixture is cooled, add phase E with gentle mixing.

COMMENTS:

Viscosity: 10 cP (Brookfield LVT-2, 60 rpm, 1 min, 25oC)

pH = 8.36

AboutFACEPaste Face Wash

PROCEDURE:

1. Combine all ingredients in phase A and heat at 75oC.

2. Combine all ingredients in phase B and heat at 75oC.

3. Add phase B slowly into phase A while homogenizing. Homogenize at 4000±200 rpm for 10 min.

4. Add phase C to phase AB while homogenzing for 5 min. at 4000 ±200 rpm.

5. Stir gently to cool the mixture until it reaches room temperature.

6. Add phase D to the mixture with gentle stirring.

COMMENTS:

Viscosity: 57000 cP (Brookfield RV, Spindle 6, 10 rpm, 1 min, 25oC)

pH = 7.77
