The three heat winners: Cropduster, Winlock Banking and Bundles Galore all clocked exactly the same time: 30.13. The Paul Stuart-trained Cropduster snapped a lean spell after she stormed to the lead out of box seven. The blue chaser surged a couple of lengths ahead in the back straight and despite weakening slightly in the closing stages she was still good enough to hold out the fast closing favourite Yunderup Tank to score by a neck. Winlock Banking (pictured) was beaten to the post the first time in his heat but he pushed through along the rail and emerged out of the first corner with the lead. The handy black racedog from James Jefferies’ kennels then held firm at the head of the field for the remainder of the journey to defeat Black Bombshell by a length. Recent Mandurah Cup winner Bundles Galore showed typical fighting spirit to claim his heat. After conceding the early advantage to Slingshot Gypsy the Linda Smithson-trained speedster came from several lengths back to power home and score comfortably. GREAT GREYS TAB RADIO SHOW

Be tuned into TAB Radio from 10-11am on Thursday mornings to hear the new program dedicated to Greyhound Racing “Great Greys”.

David Shortte will be joined by some of Australia’s premier Greyhound personalities and they will analyse the Group Racing for the weekend ahead as well as isolating some best bets at the various meetings around the nation.

Shortte will be speaking to Jason Lincoln from SKY Racing for an overall look at chasing around Australia before speaking to Tim Newbold to discuss NSW chasing, James Van de Maat to talk Victorian chasing, John “Bunny” Brasch for the latest from Queensland and Shaun Matheson will bring us the latest from South Australia.

Shortte will look to the local feature events in WA and outline his best bets for the weekend. If you miss the program live it will be podcast via the TABtouch, RWWA and Greyhounds WA websites as well as across their various Social Media Channels.

PRIVATISATION & POC PRESENTATION

Reminder, RWWA CEO Richard Burt will be giving a presentation on the TAB Privatisation and Point of Consumption Tax this Sunday October 28th at Cannington.

It is anticipated that this will be at 12:30pm after the 12pm BBQ lunch at the completion of the WAGBOTA AGM and is open to all industry participants.

WAGBOTA AGM to be held at Cannington on Saturday 28 October 2018 at 11.00am.

Proxy voting forms and permission forms are now available from Susan Peterson only. Proxy permission forms must be returned to Susan Peterson only by Friday 26th October 2018.

Only 1 Proxy vote is allowed per one voting member.

AGM will start at 11am followed by BBQ lunch and drinks from the bar. At 12.30 Richard Burt will be giving a talk about the TAB. All are welcome, members and non members however please RSVP to Committee members, Facebook or email ([email protected]) by Thursday 25th for catering.

WA is well represented in this Saturday nights Group 1 Topgun Final (525m) at The Meadows with Trouper Monelli (Box 2) and Nationals winner West On Augie (Box 3) to take on a star studded field. Currently the favourite is Poke The Bear (Box 6) which is quoted at $3.

The Sarah Appleton-trained Moment To Jive will also be in action at The Meadows where she will jump from Box 2 in the Group 2 Topgun Stayers Final over 725m.
