Saints are scholars.PHILOSOPHY All Saints’ is committed to guiding students through an academic journey that ideally starts as early as 3 years of age in the Early Childhood program and carries all the way through graduation. Each of our four divisions promotes and cultivates intellectual curiosity through an escalated, college-preparatory curriculum that ensures students are well-prepared to transition to the next division and beyond. Regardless of when a student joins the All Saints’ community, individual academic gifts are recognized and lifted up to their true potential.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2013:• 73 Seniors (100%) received acceptances to more than 88 colleges

and universities around the world, including Columbia, Princeton, US Military Academy, UPenn, UVA, Vanderbilt and Yale

• 66% of Seniors were awarded $5.5 million in scholarships; 11% received full tuition merit scholarships

• All Saints’ was one of 13 schools nationwide to compete in the Solar Car project, where teams raised funds, designed and built a solar car and raced it from their home states to California

• 14 Juniors and Seniors were inducted into the International Cum Laude Society

• An All Saints’ Middle School team qualified to compete against national high school teams in the NASA Engineering Design Competition

• All Saints’ K-2 chess program was named the best in the nation, carrying an undefeated record for the last nine years

Saints are artists.PHILOSOPHY All Saints’ promotes student participation in all areas of the Fine Arts, including music, theatre arts, visual arts and dance. By providing an environment for creative expression through a disciplined lens, students enjoy the holistic perspective of their chosen art form, including historical and theoretical practices, production and performance.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2013:• 1 out of every 5 members of the Class of 2013 is

pursuing a degree in Fine Arts• Upper School’s production of Into the Woods was

nominated for three Betty Buckley awards, including Best Musical

• An All Saints’ student was named a national semi-finalist in the Annual English-Speaking Union Shakespeare Competition

• Two All Saints’ students were selected for All-State Orchestra and one for All-State Choir

• An All Saints’ student’s one-act play, Rest in Peace, Quincy Jones, was produced at the ISAS Fine Arts Festival in Austin

Saints are athletes.PHILOSOPHY All Saints’ athletic philosophy is centered around positive character development and the encouragement of critical thinking both in practice and competition. We strive to elevate student athletes’ time management skills, self-discipline and overall awareness of the benefits of physical fitness. Ultimately, our goal in athletics is to challenge students to have fun, fight adversity, risk failure, exercise resiliency and learn how to win with grace and lose with dignity.

OBJECTIVES:• To provide the most challenging, enriching, creative,

fulfilling and meaningful four-year program to attract and retain the most intellectually-capable and most highly-motivated Upper School students;

• To foster a community of intellectual curiosity where rigorous thinkers consider the world not only where it is, but in shaping where it should be;

• To promote the highest standards of leadership and civic responsibility in students’ everyday lives;

• To prepare students for global citizenship and acceptance and matriculation into the most prestigious universities and colleges in the world.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:• Seminar Series – Students read works such as The

Falconer by Grant Lichtman to facilitate dialogue about developing the art of questioning and the skills of critical thinking and problem-solving

• Visiting Scholars – Some of the world’s foremost researchers, authors, activists and entrepreneurs are invited to speak at All Saints’ and engage the Honors College students in deliberative dialogue

• Leadership Workshops – All Saints’ invites business and civic leaders to engage students around authentic leadership challenges drawn from their own experiences

• World Affairs Club – The club serves as a forum for students’ deeper exploration of global political, economic and cultural affairs

PHILOSOPHYA hallmark of the All Saints’ experience is the College Advising program. Beginning in the freshman year, each student is well-informed and ready for the challenge of exploring, analyzing and applying to certain colleges and universities. Because each student has different gifts and interests, it is the job of the College Advising team to work one-on-one with that student and his parents to strategically and methodically help them make the best decision for the next steps in their educational journey.
