sensors and cameras. These advanced
systems constantly earn your trust
as they continually monitor your
perimeter and the real-time status
of many vehicle operations.
7 STANDARD AIR BAGS ( 8 ) Full-length side-curtain front-
and rear-passenger, driver inflatable knee bolster
air bags, seat-mounted side for front occupants, and
advanced multistage front air bags all are standard
and work together to help surround you with confidence.
PASSIVE ENTRY A feature of the available Keyless
Enter ’n Go,TM this automatically unlocks the door
upon grabbing the handle, provided the key fob is
within 1.5 metres of your vehicle. Press a small button
on either front door to lock all doors and liftgate.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING WITH LANE KEEP ASSIST ( 7 )
This available feature provides a visual and steering
wheel-movement warning should the system detect
that the vehicle is drifting outside of lane boundaries
or the driver’s hands are off the wheel.
ELECTRONIC STABILIT Y CONTROL ( ESC) ( 9 ) A vehicle-
wide network of standard safety sensors provide
instant aid should they detect you’re veering off
your intended path. ESC coordinates Electronic Roll
Mitigation, Hill Start Assist, antilock brake system
and Advanced Brake Assist, all-speed traction control
and Trailer Sway Control, sending them into action
when needed.
RAIN-SENSING AND INTERMITTENT WINDSHIELD WIPERS Storm clouds hold little influence over your daily
drive. Front wipers activate when raindrops are
detected with this available system, and can be set to
slower, intermittent speeds as conditions change.
TRAILER SWAY CONTROL (TSC) Works with ESC(9) to help
you keep your tow load safely on course.
FORWARD COLLISION WARNING WITH ACTIVE BRAKING ( 7 )
This available system has sensors that can detect
when your vehicle may be approaching another
vehicle too rapidly and send an audible and visual
alert to the driver, along with providing a brake jerk
warning from advanced brake assistance if the driver
does not react in time.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM Sensors
immediately provide notification via the in-cluster
display if pressure drops below the minimum
acceptable level on any tire.
PARK-SENSE® REAR PARK ASSIST SYSTEM ( 7 ) Compass
can help you park and back out with ease. This
available system uses rear ultrasonic sensors to
determine relative distance to objects in your
back-up pathway. Read-outs in the in-cluster
display and an audible warning notify the driver
of rear object proximity.
BLIND-SPOT MONITORING AND REAR CROSS-PATH DETECTION ( 7 ) These available systems monitor the
space between you and other drivers. When a side
or rear blind spot is encroached, you’re notified via
illuminated icons on sideview mirrors or an
audible chime.
BAT TERY RUN-DOWN PROTECTION Helps prevent your
battery from becoming discharged, so you’re always

and an incredible crawl ratio of 20:1, allowing Compass to climb steep hills
