We will learn about animals and their habitat through building models of cool creatures with LEGO® Bricks, while learning about what makes these animals special and unique. Wednesday, June 19 at 1:00PM: Friendship bracelets—This event will focus on creating one simple friendship bracelet. All materials will be precut and provided.

Thursday, June 20 at 10:30AM: Magician Matt Dunn will be performing. Ages 4 and older recommended.

Thursday, June 27 at 10:30AM: Multi-talented physical comic Kenny Ahern combines juggling feats and theatrics – without speaking! – in an interactive performance for all ages. Ahern creates a hilarious escapade with spectacular artistry and heartwarming charm.

Thursday, July 11 at 11:00AM: The Big Fun Show with Dave Walbridge will be visiting the library! This show is a comedy juggling, magic, modern vaudeville, one-man circus event. Recommended for ages 4 and older. This

Thursday, July 18 at 2:00PM: Nail Polish Gems—Create sparkly, colorful gems that can be used as decorations or magnets. For kids ages 8—17.

Friday, July 19 at 2:00PM: Smallfoot (PG, 96 min.) Popcorn provided. Covered drinks allowed.

Wednesday, July 24: Paper Plate Roller Coasters—come prepared to cut, glue, and think creatively to create your own roller coaster out of paper plates. Test it out with marbles to see how it works! For ages 7 and older.

Thursday, July 25 at 11:00AM: The Bazillions, a kid-friendly rock-and-roll band, will entertain with fun music! This program is perfect for all ages, even young kids.

Friday, July 26 at 2:00PM: The LEGO Movie 2 (PG, 107 min.) Popcorn provided. Covered drinks allowed.

Monday, July 29 at 10:30AM: Star Wars painting with Art Bar 39. Registration is required as space is limited. Registration begins July 1. Please call 320-762-3013. Ages 5 and older welcome.

Wednesday, July 31 at 1:00PM: LEGO® Bricks Pirate’s Quest: Shiver me timbers as we explore the popular culture behind the life of a pirate. Build a motorized pirate ship as we batten down the hatches and prepare for mutiny. Protect the hands on deck as we build a catapult. Beware me mateys, if it is too late, you must abandon ship and build a rowboat to escape!

Thursday, August 1 at 2:00PM: Get creative and design your own Pokéballs. Make an original or make your favorite character. For ages 6 and older.

Every week this summer, a new Summer Reading Game Board will be available at the children’s desk. Complete these game boards for a chance to earn a free book. The game

boards are for children entering kindergarten and older.

Dogman and Caterpillar are on the loose!

Fictional friends are loose in the library! Every week of summer reading, Dog Man and Caterpillar will be hiding in the library. If you

find them, visit the children’s desk and tell the librarian where you saw the mischief makers

in the library. Correct answers win a small prize! Check back every week to try to find

them in a new hiding spot. (Caterpillar will be hidden for kids 5 and under. Dog Man will be

hidden for kids ages 6 and up.)

AUGUST

For children 0-5, pick up a Toddler Reading Log at the children’s desk and complete this to win

a free board book for your child.
