ALL ABOUT BANZ

Paper is a necessary resource for business and personal use. We use it

every day. We touch it multiple times in an hour. It’s so ingrained in our

lives that we don’t even think about it anymore, least of all when it is dis-

carded. However, the way we dispose of paper can have dramatic impacts

on the climate, jobs, and the paper industry.

Each day we see more articles and hear more news stories warning of the decrease in

available landfill space. Banz Group Management agree, recycling is the most immediate

and effective way each individual can contribute toward solving this problem. Indeed, part

of the solution is an office paper recycling program.

With this in mind, Banz Group, Banz Geodis Wilson and Bahrain Prism Glass Factory are

implementing a recycling program in the offices successfully. We encourage all to actively

participate in Banz’s recycling effort. With everyone’s participation, We are confident

that we can do our part to help the environment’s recycling efforts.

OFFICE PAPER RECYCLE PROGRAM

BANZ GW & MRF CHALLENGE 2014

Banz Geodis Wilson WLL handled shipments of MRF Challenge 2014. This event

was held on Bahrain international circuit on 15th November.

21 MRF racing cars were exported to Chennai, India by BGW after the event on 15th

November. This is consecutive 2 year BANZ is handling shipments of this event.

YEAR-END GET TOGETHER WITH BANZ FAMILY

It was the time of the year to get-together to close the current year and welcome the New Year.

Hopefully 2014 has given all of us most of what we desired and more and if it has not, 2015 will

most likely provide us with plenty of new opportunities to excel, enjoy and give us whatever our

hearts desire.

Staff gathered for lunch and enjoyed the gathering apart from the busy schedule from office work.

During the event the message from Jason B. Smith, CEO and Michael Munhuwei, CFO was

conveyed to employees as we are working constantly towards the growth of our company,

everyone has done a great job of being productive and contributing towards the development of

Banz Group. The contributions made for the success and development of the company should always be supported with everyone working even harder in the coming days.”

Afterward, awards presented by CEO to Sakina Ramadhan Haji and Kunju Krishnan Murali in

appreciation for outstanding performance for years of dedicated service, devotion and support to

Banz Group.

Banz Geodes Wilson WLL participated in Bahrain Shipping Agents & Freight Forwarders six-a-

side Cricket Tournament-2014 which was held on Batelco ground, Hamala on 31st October 2014.

More than 22 freight forwarding/shipping companies participated in this tournament.

Banz Group, higher focus now on customer/client satisfaction, continual improvement, and

again the guide that the company on how the QMS can be implemented to bring about better

service.

The establishment of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 along with

qualified staff put in place and an international quality management system which will ensure

that employees, customer/client and stakeholder needs were properly met.

As a ISO 9001 QMS Lead Auditor, Husnia Karimi, Group HR & Compliance Manager will play

an important role in helping the company verify that quality management systems conform to ISO 9001 requirements and at the same time identify areas that we can improve on. Also, to

build employee awareness of quality standards and associated responsibilities.

THINGS TO DO

The Al Areen Wildlife Park has become an integral part of the development and can be seen from the majority of locations. The

park is perfect for families and animal lovers to explore at leisure and enjoy the opportunity of seeing animals in the wild. The

wildlife sanctuary was built to protect rare Arabian species including the Oryx, Adax and Reem Gazelle.

Today hundreds of other animals and bird species live contentedly in Al Areen Wildlife Park.
