THE CULTURAL LIFE of the original Las Vegas

is our treasure—and the Arts Council (LVAC) has

been promoting and preserving the visual, performing,

and participatory arts in this community for decades.

LVAC is committed to supporting the arts, as well the

artists who create and the community enriched by

them. We partner with and promote other organizations

such as the Nat Gold Players, the Literacy Council, and

the Pendaries Art League and we collaborate with other

local non-profits.

Northern New Mexico increasingly attracts artists and

art lovers searching for expression and celebration. We

value and nurture the interaction.

LVAC’s GALLERY 140 on historic and beautiful

Bridge Street showcases

two and three person

invitational art exhibits and

occasional themed group

exhibits. Public receptions

introduce artists to their

admirers.

The very popular PEOPLE’S FAIRE in August draws

visitors from across the state to a day-long celebration

of arts, crafts, and entertainment.

THE HISTORIC LAS VEGAS STUDIO TOUR

expands our efforts beyond walls, connecting artists

with their admirers, collectors, and the curious.

Studio tours offer opportunities to meet artists, see

their working studios, and experience a creative

environment that is not

usually open to the public.

WELCOME

and diverse cultures. LVAC’s goal is to celebrate this

uniqueness and to encourage our young people to carry

on their traditions. Accomplishing these goals is an

ongoing effort, intended to enhance the quality of life in

Las Vegas and the surrounding areas in the years ahead.

We welcome YOUR help, thoughts, ideas, and

comments on how we might better serve our artists, our

patrons, and our community. Become a supporting

member and help us continue to grow and serve!

Bridge Street Breezeway

handicap parking with

access to our front door.

It also celebrates the

designation of Bridge

Street as one of the
