It is 2017 and the

players are pumped.

When Bear River

played their second game of

the season against Box Elder

something bad happened.

Their quarterback, Kaygen

Canfield, got hurt. He tore

his act and he is out for the

season.

As a result, their

backup quarterback Brady

Brown came into the game.

He is a junior and didn’t get

much playing time as the

quarterback because he

played wide receiver before

this season. Now he is going

to be playing a lot of

quarterback.

The event begins on a

wagon which will take people to

the start of The Haunted

Swamp. Then it heads to the

bog where riders can fight off

the local creatures. The wagon

ride ends at the entrance of

eight acres of corn.

The dates of the corn

maze are Thursday October

twelfth and Friday October

thirteenth. The times of opening

will be from eight to ten pm.

Reservations can be

made on any of the days listed

for a group of people or people

can just show up. They

recommend not coming for

anyone who has a hard time

walking, uses crutches or in a

wheelchair.

Brady has thrown the

ball for 731 yards in seven

games. He has helped the

Bears win four games and

only lose two this season.

Brady has good size at

5 ft. 10 in. which helps him

see the field better. He also

has a good arm and can

throw the football down the

field.

Fall is here and the nights

are getting shorter. There is

excitement in the air because

everyone knows football

season is here.

From little league to

high school to college and the

NFL, people are ready to put

on their favorite jerseys and

support their kids, friends,

and favorite players for the

year.

It's easy to see why

moms love cheering their kids

on as they play on game day.

We also know why friends

support their friends, but why

is it that most Americans sit

home on Sunday and cheer on

their favorite teams?

I decided to ask 4 people

here at our school the same

question “What do you like

most about football?” Karson

Fonnesbeck said he likes

“destroying people.”

People here love football

on the NFL level not only for

the game but for the

entertainment it provides on a

Hollywood basis.

Find the Husky

Contest

She doesn’t know what college

she wants to go to yet, but she

can’t wait to get out of her

house.

Photographed by Kloee Stokes

Before she worked at

our school, she was a full time,

stay at home mom. Family is

one of the most important

things in her life, and she

LOVES kids! Ever since she

was a young girl she has

always wanted to be a mom. Mrs. Hoover loves

crafting! She enjoys doing

things such as wood crafts and

anything involving fall! Mrs.

Hoover says she is very excited

for October. She plans to do

various fall crafts and can’t

wait to get started.

We are super excited to

have Mrs. Hoover as the new

W.I.N time teacher here at our

school!

Mrs. Hoover is the

new W.I.N time teacher here

at ACHI. Mrs. Hoover has worked here for two

years, but this year is her

first year working with

W.I.N time. Two of her

responsibilities are preparing

the W.I.N tickets for

everyone’s advisory and

helping make sure

everything works smoothly.

The girl who likes to sing

opera is the mystery 7th grader.

She has many secret talents.

She can do the worm. She can

draw really well, and she is a

really good opera singer. This

person likes to make up songs

that she can sing in opera.

The type of drawings she

like to draw is out of the

ordinary.

This gal wants to be an

author after she goes to Utah

State or BYU.

If this person could go

anywhere, she would go to the

moon and try to do the worm. ¨If I could give any advice

to younger kids coming to Alice

C. Harris, I would say don't be

afraid to be yourself and be as

weird as you can be.

Can you guess who the

7th grade mystery girl is?

She is the youngest out

of three kids and is the only

girl. Her older siblings are in

high school. Talk about a

handful.

She likes sixth grade

better than fifth grade because

she feels like she has more

responsibilities and more

freedom.

The journalism staff

has made a contest. There

will be three pictures of

huskies hidden somewhere in

the school. You better find it

quick because the first three

people to find the husky and

bring it to Mrs. Turner’s class

will get a prize!

*

Our mystery spotlight

sixth grade student is a girl!

She can’t wait for college so

she can live her dream as a

teacher. As a teacher she

would love to teach older

grades. The thing that

inspired her to be a teacher is

that she absolutely loves and

adores kids. She doesn’t know

what college she wants to go

to yet, but she can’t wait to

get out of her house.

She loves school, and

her favorite subject is

language arts because she

loves to write.

If she could go

anywhere in the world for a

vacation she would go to

Hawaii so she could see and

swim with the dolphins.

Her favorite thing in the whole entire world is her dog named Rockie. She

Brody Miller is a happy,

smiling 6th grade Head Husky here

at ACHI. He said, “I like being here

at ACHI better than elementary

because there are a lot more people,

so I can have a lot more friends.”

Brody likes to help people

because he said it helps him be a

better person. He also said he

especially likes helping his dad

because he can learn a lot from him.

He also helps his mom by pulling

weeds. Brody likes to help people

but his real passion is football.

abasketball.

Braegger’s Exciting Life

Photographed by Tassie Hatch

Mrs. Massie is a new

teacher this year at Alice C.

Harris Intermediate. She teaches

seventh grade science, and she

knows how to fly an airplane!

Mrs. Massie started flying

because her grandmother flew

and she wanted to follow in her

footsteps. She doesn’t fly often

because she teaches, but she flies

whenever she gets the chance.

Braegger Richards is

a kid who loves to play

football. Braegger likes to

play football because he can

tackle people.

During W.I.N time,

he likes to go outside and

play flag football. Braegger

also likes to wrestle. One

time when he was wrestling

he broke a kid’s ribs!

A cool place Braegger

has visited is Tennessee. He

went to Tennessee to visit

his family .

One time Braegger

broke his arm. Braegger and

his cousin were jumping on

the trampoline. The

trampoline is close to his

cousin’s fence. So Braegger

and his cousin tried jumping

over the fence. His cousin

made it over the fence, but

Mrs. Massie enjoys

flying because it is

challenging, it is faster than

driving, and she can see the

world from a different angle.

When she flies she will

either go with friends or with

her husband; her husband

flies a helicopter, so both of

them enjoy soaring through

the sky.

Another part of being

able to fly an airplane that

Mrs. Massie enjoys is getting

to meet other pilots and

hearing their stories of

flight.

Pilot Massie’s passion

for soaring above and beyond

the limits is incredible and

inspiring.

Brody loves playing sports

with his friends, but this year at the

beginning of football season, he

shattered his elbow. He said, “I was

diving for the ball with my arm

extended, and another kid’s knee hit

my arm and shattered it.”

Brody won’t be able to play

football this year, but he will be able

to play in the last 4 months of

basketball after he goes through 4

weeks of rehab. Brody even wants to

be an NBA player when he grows

up. He practices in his driveway

with his dad when it’s off season.

when he jumped, he hit the

fence and he landed on his

arm, and he broke his arm.

Braegger’s life is

anything but boring. He

brings excitement with him no

matter where he goes.
