Avoid "buyers remorse" issues:

• especially after live event sales (change in environment)

• hold interviews or information out to new applicants quickly

• schedule welcome calls, introductions, and/or first meetings immediately

• consider providing "quick start" session so client receives value asap

• What you are experiencing is a symptom -not the cause

• Address issue with client calmly - determine the underlying concern E.g. "Denise, this is the second time you've arrived late at our Diamond meetings. I know you are a smart businesswoman and know how to keep a schedule. What's the real issue

• If their criticism is not constructive and they are simply complaining, most often this issue is they are not taking responsibility for their success. Point this out. "Jack, I see your application said your big goal was to get up a website this year. The last three training modules have given you step-by-step instructions. Can you share with me what you have implemented?"

• Have team member handle initially. You should not get involved unless it's serious.

• keep them to agreement - this is as much for you as them!

• if they are seriously having an emergency but want to stay in group, work out alternative plan -- but it must be agreed in writing

• if they cannot stick to the alternative plan,

Options for "firing" a client -these all depend on how strict your

coaching agreement is and individual situation and timeline:

• no refund at all, ousted from all programs

• no refund but they can drop down to a lower tier if more suitable

• prorate year and refund difference (with confidentiality clause)

• refund all but their deposit (with confidentiality clause)

• etc.
