How do we go about making a successful movie?

• Coordinate scenes and ideas with pop culture

• Modernize the story– More people will watch a fresh and exciting film over a

documentary!

• Add scenes based on the audience– Age– Gender– Interest

Page 12: Alexander

Who is the target

• The target age is 14-28• These are the people who are either just

becoming allowed to go to the movies by themselves, or are frequent moviegoers

• This is the age that pop culture is based around

Page 13: Alexander

The R Rated movie

• Realistically, people ages 14+ see rated R movies (some even younger)– As much as people try to uphold the rules, very

few movie theaters won’t stop an underage person from buying a ticket

• These kids want to see an R rated movie• If we make it, they will see it

Page 14: Alexander

The Battle scenes

• Alexander the great conquered so much• The more he conquered, the more battles we

can show in the movie• Movies like 300, and lord of the rings are

famous because of their epic battle scenes• Simply, the more fighting, the more people

will want to watch.

Page 15: Alexander

Pop Culture

• Hire popular, attractive actors– People will see a movie just because an actor is in

it• Put popular songs in the soundtrack– People will buy the soundtrack– People will hear that that song on the radio is in

the movie, and come watch it to see the video that goes with the song

Page 16: Alexander

Ads

• Many people see a movie just to see a movie, so it’s all about showing them that ours is the best choice

• An epic, exciting ad, even if the movie is bad, will make people come

• You can show every good part of the movie within all the ads, and people will still think there is more (until we have their ticket money)
