Hi Everyone,
The event at Watt Samakki finished at around 3:00 PM. Alex left with David to go to Manhattan (our temple is in
Brooklyn, one of the NYC five boroughs).
Unfortunately we don't have a big crowd to greet him because most people are at work. I have to take a
floating holiday just to be able to meet him. We raised $1,075 for him and one of our Temple members, Sydney
Keo, is going to see him at our Temple President's (Mr. Kenny Seng) office in Chinatown. He will donate
another $100 to Alex. So we get a total of $1,175 for him. If you want to see all the pictures that I took
please go to www.wattsamakki.org and scroll all the way down to the bottom to see the slideshow.
Best regards,
Mean MakWatt Samakki Treasurer

Hi Everyone,
Today we have a reception for Alex Gonzalez-Davidson at our Temple. We have only a small gathering due to the fact that most of our Temple members are busy working. We raised a total of $1,335 for him. We really wish that the meeting could take place on a weekend instead but we cannot do anything about it due to his tight schedule. He will fly out to Boston tomorrow to meet our people in Lowell. We are very happy to meet him and we are so proud to see a foreigner...
See More — with Venerable Kandaal WatJotanaram and 14 others.

Dear Lauk Mean,
With such a short notice I am deeply impressed by the responsiveness and charity of the Khmer community in
New York Even though we had only one day to include New York to our schedule, Mr. David Mam's thought
was to help as much as possible whether for just one day or one hour. Thank you Mr. Mean for making time to
show Alex how much New York appreciates him. Thank you to your newly nominated Abbot, The Venerable
Bunthoeun Thor. Thank you Mr. Kenny Seng for opening the door and heart of Watt Samakki.
And thank you Mr. Sydney Keo and all members of Watt Samakki for making today happen.
Thank you New York!
