The Alere DDS2 Mobile Test System is a handheld analyser that provides the optimal combination of speed, ease of use, reliability and accuracy. The analyser has been designed and developed to meet the high performance demands of police forces, drug treatment centres, workplace environments and is used internationally.

The lightweight portable system operates in a wide range of environments and can detect up to six drugs in a matter of minutes from a single oral fluid sample. Results can be printed so you can keep a record of each test and download to a PC with the aid of data

management software.

Alere™ DDS®2 Mobile Test System

Easy to use

The on screen images guide you through the 3 step testing

process, making drug testing as easy as A, B, C. Each

test cartridge has a Quick Response (QR) code, which the

analyser reads to identify the drug panel, record the lot

number and check the cartridge validity thus reducing user

error. The simplicity of the device minimises user training

requirements, allowing fast implementation across teams

for testing programmes.

Fast results

The Alere DDS2 oral fluid collection device

has passed quality testing and is CE

marked. It can collect sufficient sample in

60 seconds due to its robust active sample

collection design. Using the device volume

adequacy indicator to signify enough sample

has been collected, we have eliminated

the need to time your collections. Once the

collection device is inserted into the analyser

test results are available on screen within

just five minutes. The analyser accurately

interprets the intensity of the test lines on

the strips to determine the test outcome

eliminating the subjectivity of visually

interpreted results.

Quality controls

When the analyser is turned on it runs

automatic start up-checks. The positive

and negative quality control cartridges

(PQC and NQC) can be used to check that

the analyser is interpreting results correctly.

On-board sensors monitor test process

and provide user feedback ensuring that

the analyser is operating correctly.

Flexible data management

The Alere DDS2 Mobile Test System

stores 10,000 tests and comes equipped

with a printer so that you can keep a

record of each test. With remote updates

to your analyser software, we can add

support for new test cartridges as they

are released. In addition, the PC software

can also manage downloaded analyser

test data, enabling users to produce

reports for metrics and trending purposes,

thus allowing them to monitor the

effectiveness of their testing programme.
