In 2014, Aleph INDIA started Hallmarkingdepartment to assist the Jewellers to establishand operate and get recognisation of assayinga hallmarking center.

Aleph INDIA assist the NABL RecognizeLaboratories to establish, operate and getrecognisation from BIS as per various norms.

Work History

We assist in testing products as per theEuropean Telecommunications StandardsInstitute (ETSI, Europe) and FederalCommunications Commission (FCC, US)standards. Our authorized agents connectapplicants with local representative supportand assist them in obtaining ETAcertification.

In 2018, Aleph INDIA started BEEdepartment to assist the manufacturer andimporter to get STAR Ratings for householdand similar products. The BEE (Bureau ofEnergy Efficiency) is an agency ofthe Government of India. The function ofthis agency is to develop the programswhich will increase the conservation andefficient use of energy in India.

In 2018, Aleph INDIA started manufacturingof Mechanical & Electrical testingequipment for laboratory setup.

01 BIS is the National Standard Body of India established under the BIS Act 1986 for the harmoniousdevelopment of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods andfor matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BIS has been providing traceability andtangibility benefits to the national economy in a number of ways – providing safe reliable qualitygoods; minimizing health hazards to consumers; promoting exports and imports substitute;control over proliferation of varieties etc. through standardization, certification and testing.

NORMAL PROCEDURE TO GET ISI CERTIFICATION

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has been operating a Foreign Manufacturers CertificationScheme (FMCS) since the year 2000. Under FMCS, licence is granted to a Foreign Manufacturerfor use of Standard Mark on a product that conforms to an Indian Standard. The Scheme isapplicable for grant of licence for all products except Electronics and IT goods notified by Deity.The licence is granted by Foreign Manufacturers Certification Department (FMCD) located at BISHeadquarters, New Delhi. The BIS licence is granted for a location where the product ismanufactured and tested as per relevant Indian Standard(s) and Standard Mark is applied on theproduct conforming to such Indian Standard(s)

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) then registers the manufacturersunder its registration scheme who are permitted to declare that their articles conform to theIndian Standard (s).

PROCEDURE TO GET WPC-ETA

Products with radio and/or wireless functionalities which are imported or manufactured andmarketed in India must have an equipment type approval (ETA) certificate from the WirelessPlanning and Coordination (WPC) wing of the Ministry of Communications of the government ofIndia. This includes products with Bluetooth, wireless local area network access technology (Wi Fi),small digital radios (Zigbee), and radio frequency identification (RFID) among others.We assist in testing such products as per the European Telecommunications Standards Institute(ETSI, Europe) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC, US) standards. Our authorizedagents connect applicants with local representative support and assist them in obtaining ETAcertification. We support you in completing the required documentation for filing an application atthe WPC.

TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Center)

TEC stands for Telecommunication Engineering Centre. TEC facilitates Department of Telecommunications, Government of India in drafting and implementing various standards and policies for safe and secure use of emerging technologies in telecommunications. TEC had released specifications for the quality measures for the telecom equipments. These specifications can be categorized as Generic Requirements (GRs), Interface Requirements (IRs) and Service Requirements (SR).TEC is responsible to issue various approvals such as Interface Approvals, Certificate of Approvals, Service Approvals & Type Approvals.

The Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 introduced to improve the hygiene and quality of foodhas brought about tremendous changes in the food industry. As per the Act, no person shallcommence or carry on any food business except under a FSSAI license or FSSAI registration.Therefore, any food manufacturing or processing or packaging or distributing entity is nowrequired to obtain a FSSAI License or Registration.

Hallmarking is the accurate determination and official recording of the proportionate content ofprecious metal in precious metal articles. Hallmarks are thus official marks used in manycountries as a guarantee of purity or fineness of precious metal articles. The principle objectivesof the Hallmarking Scheme are to protect the public against adulteration and to obligatemanufacturers to maintain legal standards of fineness. In India, at present two precious metalsnamely gold and silver have been brought under the purview of Hallmarking.

08CE Approval

Many products require CE marking before they can be sold in the EEA ( EU + Iceland,Lichtenstein and Norway). CE marking proves that your product has been assessed and meets EUsafety, health and environmental protection requirements. It is valid for products manufacturedboth inside and outside the EEA, that are then marketed inside the EEA.To affix the CE marking to your product, you must put together a technical dossier proving thatyour product fulfils all the EU-wide requirements. As the product’s manufacturer, you bear soleresponsibility for declaring conformity with all requirements. Once your product bears the CEmarking, you might have to provide your distributors and/or importers with all the supportingdocumentation concerning CE marking.

BEE issues Star Label Registration Certificate after examination of product’s performance rating. Theobjectives of Standards & Labeling Program is to provide the consumer an informed choice aboutthe energy saving and thereby the cost saving potential of the marketed household and otherequipment. This is expected to impact the energy savings in the medium and long run while at thesame time it will position domestic industry to compete in such markets where norms for energyefficiency are mandatory.

E-Waste Management

Disposal of e-wastes is a particular problem faced in many regions across the globe.All the Indian manufacturers and importers of Electronic Products need to submit a Future Plan of the proper disposal of the Electronic-Waste in front of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India as the mandatory requirement.
