Blood alcohol concentration (or content): The amount of alcohol in a persons blood stream

The higher the BAC the more intoxicated the person is!

Factors on how EA effects people

Food consumption Food slows the absorption rate All EA still gets into the system

Tolerance An experienced drinker would take more time to show

make a person much more susceptible to the effects of EA.

Body type On overweight person will have a higher BAC than a

muscular person of the same weight. Muscle has more bl0od to dilute EA than fat



Gender Females tend to have a higher BAC More body fat than males Lack a hormone that males have to break down EA

faster

Mood Alcohol exaggerates mood

Health Healthier livers break down EA more efficiently
