What is alcohol?• Alcohol is a drug created by a chemical
reaction in some foods, especially fruits and grains.
• Alcohol is a depressant drug which slows down the activity of the brain and nervous system.

Long-term Effects of Alcohol UseCirrhosis-scarring and destruction of liver tissue
Ulcer-an open sore in the stomach lining. It is very painful.
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome- a pattern of birth defects, learning, and behavioral problems affecting individuals whose mothers consumed alcohol during pregnancy.
