Trust Trusting in God is one of the greatest secrets in the Christian experi-ence. We say that we trust in God but do we really? It is much easier to say than to do. But with a little insight from God’s Word, we can all learn a little better in how to trust God when things are going wrong
and when things are going right. Can you imagine where your life would be with-out trusting in God? We are a blessed people. Personally I love the fact that God places so much trust in me. You may ask in what? Well, to get up each day and work hard to love my family, do a good job as a Pastor and to make a difference in the life of someone who may need Jesus. Trust is a two way street. Give this some thought…if God were to place trust in you, can you trust in him? You mean that much to God. He loves you. He wants you to trust in him. Over the next few weeks, we are going to explore what this means to us, In God we trust!

I’m not much of a gardener or an arborist but it always peeks my in-terested. That’s what happened during prayer. Someone recited Job 14:7-9, “At least there is hope for a tree: If it is
cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. Its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud and put forth shoots like a plant.” So I read up on tree’s rebirth and it’s true; some trees are better than at it than oth-ers. Then I got the idea, what if Job was the tree? Job had everything "cut" out of his life. How many of us can relate to this? Everything is going smoothly, things be-gin to fall apart, and hope slips away. Thankfully we were reminded that there is hope for you and I. We have the scent of water in God's Word that is overflowing with the same power that rose Christ from the dead through the Holy Spirit. It's never too late even if you feel like an old stump. Growing because of Him, Tony Mejia

He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip. He taught me how to sing the
latest God-song, a praise-song to our God. More and more people are seeing this: they enter the mystery, abandoning themselves to God.

Step 7: HUMILITY We humbly ask Him to remove
our shortcomings.
Step (7) is about walking in humility. After examining our life closely (as we did in Steps Four, Five, and Six,) we may feel cut off from God. Considering the
scope of what we have done, we may feel unwor-thy to ask God for anything. Maybe our sinful be-haviors are despised as the lowest kind of evil by those whom we consider respectable. We may struggle with self-hatred. Our genuine remorse may cause us to wonder if we even dare approach God to ask for his help. God welcomes us, even when we feel this way, Je-sus told this story: Two men went to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a
dishonest tax collector. The proud Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else, especially like that tax col-lector over there! For I never cheat, I don’t sin, I don’t com-mit adultery, I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ But the tax collec-tor stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, say-ing, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. ‘ I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned justified before God. For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored” (Luke 18: 10-14) NLT. When we put our life in God’s hands, he will reshape us as he sees fit. It is our humility that allows us to accept the fact that he is the Creator. Our new life may be similar to the one we left behind or entirely different. God is the master crafts-man. Whatever he does, we can trust that he will recreate our life beautifully, one we get out of his way!
