ANCHOR RECOVERIES

Anchor recovery is a specialty of Albwardy Damen Diving Services. We have successfully recovered anchors and chains from all the major UAE and Omani anchorages. With specialized mobile equipment and a range of suitable vessels we can deploy the optimum solution to match the anchor weight and local conditions. The largest anchor we have recovered to date was 26 tonnes and had a chain diameter of 125mm.

CCTV CLASS INSPECTIONS

Albwardy Damen Diving Services is approved by all major Class Societies for carrying out IWS, UWILD and paint surveys on vessels and jack-up rigs. Our CCTV equipment represents the latest technology available in the current market. We currently hold approvals from ABS, BV, DNVGL, LR, NKK, RINA, and RMRS.

PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAR REPORTING

Measurements of hull and propeller performance are increasingly used as important fuel efficiency tools. We recognize the importance of data collection and monitoring by today’s ship managers. Together with our clients we have developed a clear and concise reporting template for our inspections and services that can be tailored to your specific needs as required.

UNDERWATER HULL CLEANING

We use advanced Brush-Kart systems fitted with specialist tried and tested hull cleaning brushes. Until recently, brushes were the only method capable of removing both marine slime and heavy fouling such as barnacles.

After extensive trials, our teams and equipment have also been approved by International Paints for the removal of marine growth on silicon-based coating systems.

PROPELLER POLISHING

Our teams have extensive experience in propeller polishing and provide full reports both before and after the polishing process. The final surface roughness is always rated Grade ‘’A’’ on the Ruberts Comparator Scale.

BLANKING, PLUGGING AND COFFERDAM INSTALLATION

We are able to supply and fit blanks and plugs on vessels to allow for internal repairs ranging from valve replacement to pipeline overhauling.

UNDERWATER WELDING

Our certified welders/divers conduct sacrificial anode installations and temporary and permanent repairs below the waterline on vessels and offshore structures.

Albwardy Damen Diving Services has been serving the marine industry since 1995. Safety is our highest priority and we are accredited by Lloyds Register to the latest editions of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Our diving hub is located in Fujairah Port, from where our diving teams serve all UAE ports and anchorages. We also offer our full range of diving services in Sohar and Salalah, in the Sultanate of Oman. In addition to the UAE we also send teams to Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

Our teams provide marine, O&G and industrial assets with a wide range of underwater services. Underwater maintenance of marine assets is our main business, including hull cleaning, propeller polishing, underwater hull inspections and UWILDS, underwater blanking, wet and dry welding and seabed surveys. Anchor recovery is another specialty. We also operate two custom diving boats to support our underwater teams. We are approved by the Port of Fujairah, DMCA, EHS Trakhees, Sharjah Ports Authority and ADPC to conduct commercial diving operations in all major ports and anchorages of the UAE.
