PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE SCHOOL NUMBERS
Our school numbers were submitted last week. 1044 students
are attending Albury High School this year. We have had a
large intake of 205 students in Year 7. Our biggest cohort of
Year 7’s for some time. Mrs Lennon, their year advisor, has
assured me the students have made a great start to their high
school journey.
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
I was reminded by two students today about random acts of
kindness and the power of simple things. A smile or hello can
impact on the wellbeing of others. Today I was on the receiving
end, I thank both those students and encourage others to follow
suit. At assembly, I often talk about treating others how you
wish to be treated.
SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Our swimming carnival was conducted recently and age
champions were presented at assembly last week.
Congratulations to all involved and good luck at the upcoming
Zone and Regional events.
ALBURY HIGH SCHOOL P&C
The Albury High School P&C meets the third Tuesday of each
month. The first meeting of the year was this week. The next
meeting, Tuesday 19 March 2019, will be the AGM. The
meeting starts at 7:15pm in the staff common room and I
encourage all to attend. Our P&C are great supporters of the
school.

Principal
