BEACHPlaya
Guatemalan Caribbean beaches are characterized by white and golden sand,while in the Pacific enjoying the black sand.
Among the most outstanding beaches are Playa Blanca, Playa Dorada,
Amatique Bay and Punta Pacific Manabique and outstanding beaches and Las
Lisas Monterrico, Santa Rosa and Puerto de San Jos in Escuintla. These
beaches are tourists, also guides, transportation to see all the beach activities.

The craftsmanship of Guatemala is the most genuine expression of its original
inhabitants and large support community livelihoods. The crafts are colorful
and development and reflect the rich history and culture of the country, the
variety of crafts is impressive and highlights its shows in the markets in which
displays handmade crafts from various communities as Nevaj, Todos los
Santos , Solol, Zunil and many others.

Guatemala is a multicultural country and has preserved some Mayan origins
dances and other Hispanic dances with elements of the conquerors. The
dances most important Mayan origins are The Deer Dance, Dance of the
Monkeys and the Palo Volador. Among the Hispanic dances are The Dance of
the Conquest, The Dance of the coast, among others.

Mam Empire was one of the few Mayan empires joined forces to defeat the
Spanish, while other Mayan groups continued to face each other. But the
Spanish learned of an alliance that attacked the empire Mam, Mam empire
decided to discuss a peace agreement but the Spanish did not accept and
defeated and conquered.

Guatemala has a very fertile land so its vegetation is diverse. Among thevariety of fruits that there are mango, sapodilla, soursop, banana, lemon,
orange, apple, pear, among others. Among the variety of flowers abound lilies,
jasmine, daylilies, poinsettias, orchids, roses and more importantly the white
nun who are in danger of extinction and remains in some colder climates.

Girlhood in Guatemala is one of the most vulnerable groups for their social,
economic, cultural or psychological, in many cases their human rights are
violated, over half of the population is under 18 years so it is necessary to
improve living conditions of this population so that they can develop fully.

In Guatemala there are many holidays in these days where we rest or simply
celebrate with our friends and family.
Some holidays are the International Women's Day, International Labor Day,

The identity is critical to building citizenship, which we expect and derive
democratic participation. The identity can be strengthened despite and beyond the
diversity, as in our case where there are multiple ethnic origins, and seeks to
create a national identity, adding and overcoming ethnic individualities. This is
urgent today because the global threat to uproot their fundamental links to the
citizens of the country of Guatemala.

The Jade is a mass of crystals together and therefore no stone so resistant tobreakage and chipping as jade. His toughness made him a weapon and a tool for
the Maya, for whom survival meant Jade and their colors were donated by nature
and as a result became known as a godsend.

Sumpango kegs are formed by Veral cane that is formed with the structure,
Chinese paper, the tail of the kite, which is sumbadora Chinese piece of paper
stuck on a pita and placed on top of the keg. On November 1, these kites are held
on that day and make keg competitions to see who is the biggest and most flying
which resists. This event is wonderful.

Lake Atitlan is located in Solol. This lake is one of the main economic sources of
the department as well as being a resort, supports commercial. One of thecharacteristics of Lake Atitlan is a strong wind known as Xocomil usually occurs at

Representations of scenes from Guatemala are typically made with mud figures.
Sets marimba, markets and more, are the subject frequently. The Museum of Arts
and Crafts is Sacatepquez popular in La Antigua Guatemala and holds a sample
of the ancient craft traditions as mud.

Nature of Guatemala must emphasize the Sierra Madre and the Sierra de los
Cuchumatanes, the first crosses the country from west to east, and ends inHonduras. The second is the one that is farther north. In Guatemala we highlight its
volcanoes and their heights; the Tajumulco is the highest in the country, also the
highest point in Central America, with 4,220 meters above sea level, among others.

Orqudeas
In Guatemala orchids are available to everyone and can grow them easily. In 1975
a group of people aware of the danger many species of wild orchids of Guatemala,
founded the AGO to preserve and protect, as well as to disseminate knowledge
about these beautiful flowers. The field of orchids is extremely broad. Growing in
Guatemala City is relatively easy by following some basic rules and knowing the
origin of native plants.

People in Guatemala are very hardworking and striving in their work, they are very
friendly. The people of Guatemala are identified much with their customs and
traditions, others who have excelled in sports, music and literature as Erick
Barrondo in sports, in music as Ricardo Arjona and literature as Rigoberta Mench
won the Nobel Peace Prize.

QUETZALQuetzal
The Quetzal is the national bird of Guatemala but this beautiful animal is in danger
of extinction because people destroy their habitats to deforestation, pollution,among others. This bird symbolizes freedom and is characterized by its beautiful
chest and abdomen crimson red and bright green plumage. In Guatemala are
currently six geographic regions where the Quetzal lives.

Guatemala has several ruins in Tikal, Quirigua, Ceibal, Iximche, Zaculeu and
Yaxha. The ruins of Quirigua are located in Izabal and is an archaeological site
belonging to the ancient Mayan civilization and just the other ruins.

The most prominent sports participation Guatemala occurred on 04 August 2012,
under the framework of the London Summer Olympics 2012. The walker Erick
Barrondo hung the silver medal in the Olympic walk 20 km with a time of 1 hour
and 18 minutes. Additionally the country won first in the world with the Mateo
Flores athlete who won the Boston Marathon and Julio Rene Martinez who was
world record holder Olympic march 20 km for nearly three years.

Guatemala has one of the manifestations of popular traditions most original,
authentic and unique continent. From the pre-Hispanic indigenous cultural heritage,
traditions followed by the colonial and contemporary times own, fused in thismagical land of contrasts. As Holy Week, held every year between March and April,
is a religious tradition that was born in 1543, the Palo Volador, held every
December 21 in different parts of Guatemala, the horse race in Todos Santos, this
tradition part of the fair Cuchumatanes, which begins October 23 and ends on
November 3, among others.

Guatemala bases its economy on agriculture, and an important item of the
agricultural production represents vegetables. The vegetables are foods with a
group of botanical origin varied as part of the plant used for food varies from one toanother. Guatemala can take advantage of the low consumption of vegetables in
the world, and improve the economy as directly attack the problem of poverty,
because it would give people a good income to the field that is most needed.

seven wonders of the world, was chosen for its unique beauty as it is surroundedby three majestic volcanoes.

beauty has earned the name Heaven's Mirror.

In Guatemala we celebrate Christmas with our family or friends. On Christmas Eve
we burn fireworks to celebrate and eat, some people eat tamales, chicken and
punch or coffee makers. That night the whole family or friends stick together
because it is a night of peace and love.

Guatemala has a Municipal Youth Bureau where they try to build a city where
young men and women have a peaceful coexistence of respect and tolerance. Also
try that youth develop their full potential, creativity and intellectuality to addresssocial, economic and cultural rights in the future.

In Guatemala there are zoos, the first is the La Aurora zoological in Guatemala and
the other Auto safari Chapin. The zoo was founded in order to preserve and
conserve all species both native and exotic animals in these two places can
appreciate the flora and fauna and be aware of animals that are endangered.

CONCLUSIONS:
This work helped us to see the beauty and importance of
Guatemala for people and that we should retain their places.
This work helped us to reflect on all the bad things we have
done with our Guatemala and we improve every day that
passes.
