1.1 Aims to realize
To be known to be one of the best academies in UAE for his quality on and off the field.
Have an environment where the player can get the maximum out of his potential.

1.2 Mission
Deliver yearly minimum of 2 players from the category A or B who can play professional
football
Category A; has the level to become professional player for first team of Al Shabab Al Arabi
UAE
Category B; has the level to become professional player with lower 1st division clubs or 2nd
division clubs
1.3 Mission Al Shabab Al Arabi football identity
We want to create our own identity, where people, coaches and players are recognized in the
way of playing and working. By focus on the strong points, long term and be innovative the
academy should create his own football identity. The identity is build up from 6 focus points
which is the red line through our whole academy starting already from the age of U6 till U18.

2. Technical strategy plan
The academy is from the ages U6 till U18. We divided the academy in 4 parts to make it clear
what their specific targets will be. All parts have their special targets in the development of a
football player

2.1 Professional academy
Here we will teach and explain the players as professional. They have to show what they
learned the last years and combined that with a professional attitude. They getting closer and
closer to first team and this should be visible in their performance on and off the field. We are
teaching them the lifestyle principals that are necessary to become a professional player.
2.2 Young professional academy
The young professional academy we are preparing the players for becoming a professional
player. We are training them according to technical and tactical principals so that they will
understand and also can make their own decisions on the field. Off the field we are teaching
them the lifestyle principals that fit to be a part of a team.

2.3 Junior academy
Children need to be learned the game principals in a playful way. They are trained and directed
year by year with new principals. The foundation of a future professional player will be
prepared in this department. The love for football should stay for a lot of years before they are
in the age of becoming a professional player.
2.4 Grass roots
With grass roots department the players getting introduced for the first time with football. The
players will get introduced how to deal with the rules of the game football. The focus will be on
Fun! Here we can also select players for our A and B teams for the Junior Academy.
2.5 Al Shabab Al Arabi private academy
Starting from season 2015 – 2016 we will start with Al Shabab Al Arabi private academy. The
private academy will have two important targets;
1. Commercial side, gain money which can be invested in the elite academy.
2. Scouting for potential local talents for our elite academy.
The players and coaches will work according to the same principals and training methods as in
the main academy. The local talented players will have the chance to participate with our elite
academy. The coaches of the private academy will monitor these players every week when they
train and play matches.

3. Way of playing
The intention is to create one philosophy according to some basic principles for the whole club.
The initiative must always be on our side.
We have to control the ball possession and ball possession opponent.
Direct or controlled pressure on the opponent.
Play a positional game to prepare for attack.
The player has to understand what is required.
Creativity, aggressiveness, attractive, disciplined.
3.1 Formations
All the teams will play according to the principles of playing 1.4.3.3 for the younger age groups
we simplify the formations but with the same basic principles of playing.
3.1.1 Professional academy
At the age of U18 the players should learn and play in more tactical flexibility with in 1.4.3.3
according to the match strategy.
1. 1.4.3.3 with attacking midfielder

3.1.2 Young professional academy
At the young professional academy U13 till U16 will play according to the basics of 1.4.3.3 with
an attacking midfielder. In this department the players will learn to play in a line, lines together
and starting to know each other qualities.
3.1.3 Junior academy
In this department players learn by age the game principles in a step by step process, together
with developing their skills in match situations. The technical and tactical foundation is created
here.

4. Training process
The training process can be seen as a full development program. We are paying attention to
individual and team development because together these two are creating a complete player
and good teams to develop in. We are working with fixed week schedules so that there is a
good preparation of the players during the week. The training sessions should assist the teams
and the players in understanding the way of playing. Another strong point of this training
process is that all exercises in our fixed week schedule lead to stability in our way of playing,
player development and creating our Al Shabab Al Arabi style. This philosophy is creating a
specific type of player.
4.1 Training sessions frequency
We will work according to a step by step process to increase the number of training session for
each department. By the steps we are making the players getting introduced with more training
topics specific to the development stages of the ages.
U14 till U18 5x in the week training
U10 till U13 4x in the week training
U6 till U9 3x time in the week training
4.2 Weekly training plan
At the academy we will work according to a week cycle. In this week the coach is working in a
step by step approach to the game. According to the age and development stage technical,
tactical or physical training topics will be more trained.

5. Training exercise plan
For the development of the players and teams in our way of playing we are working with
exercises according to 8 training topics. All the exercises will assist the coaches in the individual
development of the player and in the development of the team in all 4 main moments of
football; attacking, transition attacking too defending, defending, transition defending too
attacking.
1 Passing and kicking.
2 Moves to beat opponent.
3 Heading and throw in.
4 Finishing on the goal.
5 Positional play.
6 Game positional play.
7 Temple training (attacking forms and defending forms).
8 Games & standard situations.
5.1 Training exercise book
Every coach of the academy will receive the training exercise book from where they can select
their exercises according to their tactical and technical objectives. Al the exercises supports the
development of the players and teams in the way of playing of Al Shabab Al Arabi academy.
5.2 Technical qualification
Each age group has his own level depending on the qualities of the players. The supervisors
make at the beginning of the season a technical qualification for each age group where the
coaches can choose their exercises from in the exercise book.

Three players try to play together and bring the ball to the other side. Defender prevents the deep pass.

Conclusion
- From the age of U16 till U18 the club concentrates on the best players. With the age
groups U6 till U15 the concentration is on quality and quantity players.
- For the most talented players to club offers schools support, accommodation, food
program and individual training program.
- Players are being transported daily by busses from the club. At match days the players
have lunch at the club restaurant
- There is a clear philosophy to develop the players, teams and coaches. With good
corporation between the supervisors.
