Subject:- Incentives of AIS officers sewing in the NE cadre -Health care, regarding

The undersigned is directed to refer to the sub-ject cited above and to say that the question of extending the facility of providing health care in Army and Cantonment Hospitals on payment basis to all AIS officers and their families while serving in the North-East Region, has been engaging the attention of the Government for some time. Accordingly, Ministry of Defence has issued necessary instruction to all Military Hospital in the NE region to provide medical care to All India Service officers and their families as non entitled civil gazetted officers and charge hospital stoppage rates (HSR). A copy of the Ministry of Defence' letter No. 9(1)194/D (Mel), dated the 1 lLh August, 2005;ssued in this regard is forwarded along with enclosures for information and necessary action.
