Needles Set of 4.0 mm / US 6 knitting needles – or needles required to obtain gauge

Tension / Gauge 25 sts per 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch after blocking

k = knit p = purl yo = yarn over k2tog = knit two stitches together spwyif = slip stitch purlwise with yarn in front spwyib = slip stitch purlwise with yarn in back

Pattern

Cast on 100 stitches and knit the first row.

Begin with the eyelet section then continue onto the stockinette section.

Continue alternating eyelet and stockinette sections until 7 stockinette sections have been completed. Repeat the eyelet section one more time.

Eyelet Section Row 1: spwyif, P1, Knit to the last 2 stitches, P2 Row 2: spwyib, K1, P2, *(Y0 K2tog) repeat from * until last 4 stitches, P2, K2 Row 3: spwyif, P1, Knit to the last 2 stitches, P2

Stockinette Section Row 1: spwyib, K1, Purl 2, Knit to the last 4 stitches, P2, K2 Row 2: spwyif, P1, K2, Purl to the last 4 stitches, K2, P2 Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until you have knit for approximately 8”. End after a row 1. Once all stockinette and eyelet sections have been completed, cast off using the Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Sewn Bind Off Method, and block.
