Airline Job Checklist

________ FCC Radio Operators licenseBig picture info: http://wireless.fcc.gov/commoperators/index.htm?job=rlStep by step:1. Complete a FCC Form 605. Electronic filing was easiest… 2. Create a log in here: New Users and register to get your FRN and Password. 3. Log in here: http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/index.htm?job=home4. On the left, select “Apply for a new license”
5. Select “RR-Restricted Operator”
6. Complete the form and submit payment. You should receive your license shortly.

Create an account at: https://global.pilotcredentials.com/new_homepage/ for FEDEX, Southwest, and American. Then go into each affiliate and import your data and complete the rest of the company specific info

Word to the wise: Read the instructions carefully on what counts as PIC, when to include IP/EP time in PIC, etc.
Read the FAR on what counts as cross country time as there are stipulations, especially for military …

Get your lucky friends that have already been hired to write you letters of recommendations and upload them to your application.

Network, Network, Network… There is a group on facebook called “The Pilot Network”… good group on people on there with lots of good info shared daily. Also a lot of good information on the Airline Pilot Central forums. http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/
