R.I.N. (Requalification Indentification Number) is a Hydro-test date code assigned by the D.O.T. to uniquely identify a cylinder re-qualification facility. The R.I.N. is set in a square pattern. The first character must appear in the upper left corner and rotates clockwise. The month of hydro-test is to the left of the R.I.N. and the year is to the right of R.I.N.
