EC145 CABLE CUTTER SYSTEMSKEY FEATURES

The Cable Cutters Kit provides a means of protecting the helicopter during a wire strike by providing the capability to cut a cable or wire before catastrophic damage occurs. The kits are designed to reduce the possibility of a cable or wire entering the cockpit and to reduce the chance of flight control damage. Similar cable/wire cutting devices have proven to be effective even during multiple wire strikes. The kits incorporate both an upper and lower cutter and each cutter is designed with high strength cutting blades. The DART (Apical) cutter design is tested to verify the capability to cut a cable having a 14,000 lbs tensile strength. The kit contains Skidtube mounted Deflectors and Wiper Deflectors as standard. It also includes everything necessary to install the kit and does not require any previously installed fixed provisions. An optional GPS Antenna Mount Kit is also available, which allows placement on the upper cutter deflector for ideal positioning of the antenna.

The innovative DART Aerospace Vertical Capture Transport (VCT) System prevents injuries during long line operations by removing the need to have ground support personnel manually attach remote cargo hook to ground load. DART cargo lifting adaptor is secured to the ground cargo then, with the help of the conic locators, the pilot lowers the VCT remote hook onto the cargo adaptor. Once in contact with the adaptor the hook is mechanically engaged by a pushrod clamping the load without any effort on the ground. After transport, the load is released by the pilot using an electrical release device built into the remote hook. DART’s emergency float system for the BO105 is the only float systems certified for take off after a water landing for all BO105 models including the heaviest LS configuration. This is also the only system certified for use with BO105 high gear configuration (20430-200). A kit with Integrated Liferafts is available for low gear. These kits are compatible with ground handling wheels and the float bags can be removed in a matter of minutes. The mechanical valve system has no squibs or electrical requirements. The cylinder valve assemblies, floats and liferafts valves are available as exchange items, thereby reducing maintenance and down time. All float chambers come standard with field replaceable pressure relief and inflation valves. The float bags are on-condition and do not have to be returned to the factory for recertification. Factory recertification of the system is available for customers who desire OEM services.

These floats are designed as replacements for the Airbus floats provided with the OEM float system. The floats consist of 4 chambers that are separated by bulkheads made of the same urethane nylon as the float tube to minimize the loss of buoyancy in the event of a puncture tear. Each chamber contains an inlet check valve for inflation by the cylinder/valve assembly and a combi-nation PRV/Topping valve to prevent over-pressurization and to provide a means for manual inflation.

AFTERMARKET

DART Aerospace continues to demonstrate excellence in rotorcraft aftermarket parts and accessory manufacturing and distribution.

With a wide selection of top-quality helicopter accessories and compo-nents that improve rotary-wing fleet operations, DART is a well recognized and reliable choice for providing the right equipment across all OEM platforms.

DART also has extensive experience in collaborating with the FAA, EASA, Transport Canada and other authorities to obtain certification approvals.

OEM SUPPLY

Since 2013, DART Aerospace has decided to strengthen its partnership with the major helicopter OEMs and has initiated the co-development of missionized equipment for twin-engine and medium size helicopters.

While understanding the pros and cons of the two approaches DART now offers to the OEM the choice to certify co-developed systems either through the aircraft type certificate or through its traditional STC approach.

Whether DART is working with operators, completion centers or helicopter OEMs to develop new solutions, DART always aims to maintain the same reputation with its customers: a fast development turnaround time combined with its legendary responsiveness, constant flow of communication and key operators that ensures deep product knowledge.

SALES & DISTRIBUTION

DART Aerospace’s sales channels include a dedicated team of direct sales representatives and a network of local approved distributors.

The DART sales team has been evolving over the last year to better support our customer base. With our team of inside sales representatives, regional sales managers and account managers, DART better supports our most demanding customers based on their needs, growth potential and geographical location.

DART is continuously developing its network of local distributors to support the acquisition of foreign approvals for its STC products as well as to further expand its global presence. In Europe, we reinforced our presence with the addition of a Regional Sales Manager. Heliswiss Iberica appointed two sales managers fully dedicated to European market to better serve local customers. They will also be maintaining DART stocks in their warehouse in Barcelona and will offer on-site technical support to European customers.
