Archery Postal Match Info

This year due to COVID guidelines and the difficulty of meeting the requirements for indoor archery, we will be holding a postal match. We do not know if the Fair board will approve these targets for fair entries yet, but we will be looking into that.

Cost will be $5 per youth to cover the targets and mailing.

10 yards (30 feet) for grades 3-5

15 yards (45 feet) for grades 6-8

20 yards (60 feet) for grades 9+

Be sure to actually measure the distance and not just guess.

The target is to be shot with adult supervision.

Please write name, grade, and freestyle, 1 aid, or barebow on the target before shooting.

Adult will witness and sign the target at completion.

Use 5 ends with 5 arrows per end.

If the arrow breaks the line, it counts for the higher score. Mark the target with the score for each end in pen, before shooting the next end. Tally the total, and the witness will sign the target.

Return the target to the Extension office. The postmark on your completed target mailing needs to be within 1 calendar month of the postmark on the blank target mailing you received from the Extension office. You are welcome to drop off your target at the Extension office within 1 month as well.
