In active learning, the lecturer is afacilitator. You are the prime mover andresponsible for how much you learn.
In passive learning, the lecturer is still afacilitator. He is a resource among manyavailable to you to learn if you choose.
Passive learners assume incorrectly thatthe lecturer will do it all for them.
