The proposed Instrument Air Compressor Unit would be assembled from the following components:

The motor starter for the compressor motor would be furnished & installed by others in the MCC. The compressor panel uses an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1000 programmable logic controller for the principal control element. The PLC and all other panel components are UL Listed for Class 1, group B, C, & D hazardous locations. The panel is equipped with a summary alarm relay for remote indication of the compressor status.... Minimum pressure check valve... Factory fill with Quin-Syn synthetic lubricant.... ASME "UV" rated discharge pressure safety valve... Two stage air/oil separator rated to less than 1.5 PPM oil carryover with the discharge air ... Each Quincy compressor would be provided with the following indicators and alarm devices:…Discharge air temperature indicator, panel mounted…Discharge air pressure indicator, panel mounted…Air / oil separator differential indicator, local mounted…Lubricant filter differential pressure indicator, local mounted…Air filter differential indicator, panel mounted

Each compressor would be furnished mounted on a 200 Gallon horizontal air receiver. One air receiver would be used as a wet air receiver and the other would be used as a would be used as "dry" air receiver. The wet air receiver would be equipped with an float type drainer with inlet isolating valve and inlet strainer.

1 - Thermal Transfer Products Model AHP-400 air cooled auxiliary aftercooler with furnace brazed construction, 250 PSIG MAWP, 3/4 Hp. 3000 RPM, 380 VAC, 3 phase, 50 Hz. fan motor for use in a 50º C ambient, and a United J120 temperature switch to sense inlet air temperature to the auxiliary aftercooler. The auxiliary aftercooler fan would be cycled on when the inlet air temperature is in excess of 95º F. and turned off when the inlet air temperature drops to 90º F. The auxiliary after cooler is sized for a 5º F approach to ambient air temperature. With a 113º F. maximum ambient, the use of the auxiliary aftercooler precludes the need to oversize the air dryer because ambient air temperatures are in excess of 120º F. and / or the use of a special desiccant for high temperatures. A BASCO moisture separator with a float type drainer will be installed on either side of the auxiliary aftercooler to remove and decant condensed moisture. Each moisture separator will be provided with ball valves for isolation & by-pass.

1 – 1” Pneumatech Model P4C-60-15 coalescing type pre-filter with Grade G6 filter element, integral differential pressure indicator, and a Circle S Products Type S float drainer to discharge accumulated liquids. This filter is rated @ 100 SCFM capacity at 100 PSIG operating pressure. The MAWP of the filter housing is 500 PSIG is @ 200 F. The filter is equipped with inlet and outlet isolating valves and a by-pass valve.

1 - Pneumatech Model EH-50 heatless regenerative air dryer, NEMA 4 controls with modular epoxy potted electronic cycle timer for use in a Division 2 area, twin desiccant tower design, 150 PSIG MAWP, for 120 VAC, 1 phase 60 Hz. power, and rated as follows:

Capacity: 50 SCFM @ 120 PSIGMAWP: 175 PSIGOperating Pressure: 120 PSIGInlet Temperature: 70 to 120º F.Design Inlet Air Water Content: SaturatedDesign Outlet Dewpoint: -40º F Purge Flow: 7 SCFM

The air dryer piping includes a three valve block & bypass with piping which allows isolation & by-passing of the dryer for maintenance. The air dryer uses a conventional 10 minute NEMA drying cycle time.

1 - 1" Pneumatech Model P4P-60-15 afterfilter to remove desiccant dust from the outlet air stream with an integral differential pressure indicator. This filter is rated @ 166 SCFM capacity at 100 PSIG operating pressure. The MAWP of the filter housing is 500 PSIG is @ 200 F. The filter is equipped with inlet and outlet isolating valves and a by-pass valve.

1 - Piping assembly with 2000# A-105 forged steel fittings and A-106B seamless pipe and nipples. Valves are provided to isolate each compressor. All manual valves are Apollo brand 70-100 series threaded bronze ball valves. The dry instrument air outlet connection is a 1-1/2" threaded connection at a manual valve.

1 - Fabricated steel skid base (estimated skid base size 6 -0" W x 20'-0" L) with lift lugs for 4 point lift and a containment pan below the compressors to contain any compressor oil leakage.

The unit would be assembled, aligned, primed and painted. The unit would be test run prior to shipment to verify control function & operational integrity. The unit would be primed with our standard red epoxy primer & painted with a high gloss Hanover Tan polyurethane topcoat. The Quincy air compressor would not be painted.

The proposed instrument air compressor unit requires three 220 VAC feeder circuits. Each air compressor panel would require one feeder and the air dryer panel would require the last feeder. 3. The compressor control panel provides Form "A" contacts to interface with the purchaser's motor starter. Each air compressor has a 20 Hp. compressor driver. 4. Form "C" contacts are provided for external indication of an alarm or shutdown condition for each compressor panel.5. Motor starters are furnished and installed off skid in the MCC.6. This offer does not include any heat tracing or insulation for freeze protection. There is no need for insulation for personnel protection as all "hot" components are enclosed by the compressor enclosure.
