Transcript of AIESECinRomania_MCP1617_ApplicationBooklet
DEAR CANDIDATE,
In January 1990, a group of students from AIESEC in Austria took a car to Romania, crossed
the border and arrived in Bucharest, its capital. Barely 4 weeks had passed since the fall of the
communist regime and yet AIESEC in Romania began its existence.
26 years later, you are now are about to take one of the most important decisions of your life:
applying to be its President. The journey will take beyond what you thought you were capable
of, push you to the edge countless times and build character. It is one of the most intense
rollercoasters you can take in your life.
Your success will depend one a small number of traits: your ability to lead, your ability to
manage, focus and driving execution.
Many times it will make you question yourself and it will always challenge if you have enough
clarity on where you want to lead AIESEC in Romania. But it will always remind you of who
you truly are and always to take decisions from a place of mindsight and not eyesight.
The journey will be long, strong, beautiful, challenging and amazing beyond your wildest
dreams. This is your chance to make AIESEC in Romania grow and take it further.
My only desire for you dear candidate is that you give it your all, your 100%, every emotion,
every ambition, every desire to change the world into a better place, because at the end of the
day, “it is the man which makes the ground holy”.
Yours humbly,
Bogdan Manea
