Financial Model

11

A franchise model was determined to be the best fit for AIESEC because of it is industry proven and allows us to address local realities while still covering fixed national costs.

The model was officially adopted at WNC 2015

The model is based on two elements:

A) Association Fee – A fixed yearly cost that is calculated at the beginning of each year

B) Royalty fee- a percentage of each sale

Financial Model

12

Association Fee Breakdown

FIN Model

13

Association Fee Calculation

The Association Fee will be split into two separate calculations.

Two baseline: Total Exchange Number (50%) and Total Exchange Revenue (50%)

Method:

Averaging out the performance of both in the last 3 years

Adding together the two cost we will see the LC’s association fee

FIN Model

14

Royalty

Baseline: Membership Status

Depending on their membership status, the percentage of royalty to be given to the MC changes

Expansion: 30%

General Member/Member on Alert: 25%

Full Member: 20%

The reason is that usually the least developed LC uses more of each MC member’s time. Additionally, expansions do not pay an affiliation fee.

FIN ModelLC Affiliation Fee 2016

Affiliation fees have been released for 2015

Fees are broken down into two payments. One in April and one in October. The October payment is weighted more heavily

Fees and the calculation break down for each LC can be found in the supporting resource LC Affiliation Fee Calculations excel.
