CROSSING BORDERSPretends to give accompaniment to the
vulnerable children and the elderly who are in
the city’s different nongovernmental
organizations in several issues like cultural
diversity, social change agents, environmental
preservation, emotional Intelligence
management, leadership and personal
perspective.

alternative program of education in students
from schools and universities, its main
purpose is developing the multiculturalism,
and create a global vision not just in the
students, it’s also for the trainee which is
developing the Project.

• Basic Spanish or some knoledge of

development of leadership and team work
through the immersion in new global
perspectives, this is made by the trainees
which are in charge of the execution of
recreational activities, workshops and
presentations in an AIESEC supervised
environment .

• Boy Scout knowledge and outdoor and

GLOBAL VILLAGEDuring the experience in the every social project
there are some activities in universities, schools
and malls called Global Villages, where the Trainee
shows his/her culture, and invite people to do
social exchanges
REQUIREMENTSBring typical things from your country such as:
FLAGS, hats, clothing, liquor, food, souvenirs,
books, games, pictures, postcards and
ATTITUDE
TRAINEE MEETINGAIESEC Tolima develops activities, planning
strategies and feedbacks for the developed
project by the trainees, also AIESEC Members
are in charge of being available when the
trainee needs something during the experience.
It’s very important for us to assure the trainee
will have the best experience in the city.
HOUSING AND FEEDINGGLOBAL FAMILIES PROGRAM (HOST
FAMILIES)AIESEC Tolima in all its social projects provide free
accommodation and food (at least two meals per day)*,
usually Colombian families and AIESEC Members host the
trainees with the advantage of having the opportunity to
live and learn the different things from the Colombian
culture, which makes a plus during the experience
The Trainee has to be aware that is part of a
family so the trainee has to contribute with
the day by day activities (making the bed,
washing the trainee’s clothing and sharing
time with the family)
*Some host families offer three meals per day but we
guarantee two of them
DELIVERYWhen the trainee arrives to the city, the Delivery
team pick him/her up and take the trainee to the
host family place, also we do the Intern preparation
seminar, cultural training and work training
GLOBAL BUDDIESEvery trainee will have two people
from the city who will show the
Colombian culture, also the buddy will
help the trainee in everything which
may need
