For our organization to grow, in scale and impact, we must grow AIESEC’s reach, both physically and virtually. We’ve been impacting the lives of individuals and communities for years, yet not a lot of people in our country even know us yet.

There are stories all over AIESEC Philippines that are worth sharing, those of leadership, self-development, and positive change. Those stories are what we are looking to showcase through this initiative.

What is this “Media Pool”?The AIESEC Philippines Media Pool is responsible for producing written and multimedia content for internal and external use. It’s

main objectives are:

• To facilitate impact showcasing and story telling of AIESEC,

its projects and programs through the creation of content.

• To equip and train members with the hard skills for content creation and development.

The AIESEC Philippines Photographer is tasked with documenting internal and external AIESEC events through photos or video coverage.

Event Coverage – Video and Photos of AIESEC conferences, PR events, Projects, etc.

Other initiatives – Photo shoots, ELD content, interviews

ASSIGNMENTMedia Pool members will be notified of available assignments to cover. Corporate Communications Director will assign based on availability of member and skill set/background required. Acceptance of assignment is voluntary but members are required a minimum of 2 assignment accomplished (negotiable).

COVERAGEMedia Pool members will work with B2C Ocer, IM Team, or Corporate Communications Director (depending on assignment) directly. Members are expected to be present during event (if event) and to be prompt with outputs required as timeliness is important.

SUBMISSIONOutputs will be submitted to the person assigned and will be edited/revised as needed. Members can expect feedback after every assignment. Due credit will be given to the member when his/her work is featured in various communication channels.

2. Attach requirements to application form (see link)

Writers: 3 Articles, Blogs, or Essays written in the past.

Photographers: Links to Album or Portfolio of pictures taken.

3. Deadline of Application is 11:59 PM – JULY 27, 2013

Timeline:

July 25 – Opening of Application

July 27 – Deadline of Application

July 28 – Announcement of Results to Applicants

Who can apply?Anyone can apply! Whether TMP, TLP, LCVP, LCP, MC. As long as you’re excited to amplify our reach internally and externally!

Can I apply even if I already have a role?Yes! The AIESEC Philippines Media Pool is intended to be “dual-role” friendly. It’s assumed that you’ve notified your TL/VP that you’ve applied.

Do I have to be an expert?Though past experience in writing/photography is very much preferred, you don’t have to be the master of the craft. As long as you know the basics, and are willing (and available) to learn, it’s fine.

Who should apply?AIESECers with past experience in journalism, blogging, photography and writing are very much encouraged to apply! LCs looking to boost their members talent capacity in Marketing and Communications are invited to join as well.

What benefits do I get if I join?You gain recognition for your contribution to AIESEC Philippines, while gaining experience and exposure in writing, photography, and publicity-documentation. Subsidies and freebies are possible, depending on assignment.
